CytoGro
CytoGro
CytoGro, manufactured by Ecologel Solutions, is a powerful liquid hormone biostimulant that enhances plant growth by developing a deeper, denser root system without causing excessive top growth.
Derived from seaweed extracts, which produce cytokins and auxins that are combined with natural extracts of amino acids, vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates, natural plant hormones, and nutrients. This proprietary combination helps to speed foliage recovery, increase fertilizer uptake, minimize frost damage, and more for the maintenance and establishment of new trees, shrubs, turf, and ornamentals.
CytoGro is a cost-effective solution to increase rooting, establishment, and recovery of weak, damaged, and thin turf at low application rates. This concentrated product, also conditions plants to tolerate salinity from poor quality irrigation water, or fertilizer salt buildup so they can grow a long root system and thick canopy despite salts in the soil.
Tools Needed
CytoGro can be applied with a chemigation system, pesticide injection pipeline, or systems with a metering pump.
This product can be applied as mixture with most fungicides, herbicides, insecticides or liquid fertilizer.
Do not connect an irrigation system (including greenhouse systems) used for pesticide application to a public water system unless the pesticide label-prescribed safety devices for public water systems are in place.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much CytoGro to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft.). Spring and fall applications on turf will use 1 to 2 fl. oz. of CytoGro in 3 gallons of water per 2,500 sq. ft. Treat sod, golf greens, fairways, football and soccer fields, and baseball infields and outfields with 1 to 2 fl. oz. of product in 3 gallons of water per 2,500 sq. ft. For on-going maintenance of these sites, use 1/2 to 1 fl. oz. of product per 2,500 sq. ft. For sod farming, apply 1 pint of product per acre. For lawns, playgrounds, parks, recreational areas, landscaped roadways, and cemeteries, use 2 fl. oz. of product in 3 gallons of water per 2,500 sq. ft. For on-going general plant maintenance, apply 1 fl. oz. of product with 3 gallons of water or fertilizer solution. Refer to the label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Mix the CytoGro in a separate tank. First, fill the sprayer with half the amount of water then add the measured amount of CytoGro. Pour the remaining half of water into the tank and agitate until solution is evenly mixed. Add the mixed CytoGro solution as instructed on your chemigation system.
- Step 3: Spray or mist the mixed CytoGro solution until the foliage is completely wet, but not to the point of runoff. Retreat foliage as instructed on the label for on-going maintenance.
Where to Use
Apply CytoGro to turf, golf greens, fairways, football and soccer fields, baseball infields and outfields, sod, sod farms, lawns, playgrounds, parks, recreational areas, landscaped roadways, nurseries and greenhouses, and cemeteries.
Do not apply to crops which will be used for food or feed purposes.
When to Use
CytoGro can be applied at the beginning of spring, breaking of dormancy, or in the fall before. For best results on turf, continue monthly applications throughout spring and summer to condition the turf and reduce the 4 stress of disease and summer heat or low rainfall.
This product can also be used when transplanting trees, shrubs, or beddings plants.
Safety Information
CytoGro is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not allow people or pets to enter treated areas until 24 hours have passed after application.
Special Considerations
On-going monthly applications of CytoGro are required to control top growth of plants and condition them to withstand harsh weather and pest activities.
