Cynoff EC Insecticide
Cynoff EC Insecticide is an effective broad-spectrum insecticide containing the active ingredient Cyclimethrin. It delivers a quick knockdown with a long-lasting residual. The low-odor formula can be used indoors and outdoors to treat roaches, ants, spiders, mosquitoes, and more.
10/14/25
Cynoff EC Insecticide, manufactured by FMC Professional Solutions, is a professional insecticide that effectively controls many common insects in residential areas and places of business, indoors and outdoors. It is a liquid concentrate that can be used to kill cockroaches and up to 20 other common household pests quickly and efficiently.
This product's principal active ingredient is cypermethrin, which is a chemical pyrethroid. This ingredient promises to deliver a quick knockdown and long-lasting control of a long list of pests, including all types of cockroaches.
As a bonus, Cynoff EC Insecticide leaves a significant residual, which will continue to kill long after the initial application, meaning you won’t have to spray constantly to get rid of your problem pest. The residual will be picked up by insects who stroll over the concentrate, and it will be absorbed or ingested through the body. So, on top of killing the bugs you’ve seen, Cynoff EC Insecticide will also take out the stragglers in hiding or ones that you missed.
Tools Needed
You must dilute it with water inside a handheld pump, backpack, or hose-end sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Cynoff EC Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area' in feet, then multiply them together (length x width = square footage). Cynoff EC Insecticide can be mixed at a rate of 0.5 oz. for a .1% concentration or 1 fl. oz. for a .2% concentration, depending on the pest you are treating. So, for example, if you are treating cockroaches and have a 2,500 sq. ft. area to treat, you would need to use the .2% concentration rate. 2.5 fl. oz. will need to be mixed in 2.5 gallons of water.
- Step 2: In a sprayer, fill halfway with the appropriate amount of water. Add the measured rate of product based on your calculations and agitate. Add the remaining half of water to the sprayer and shake the sprayer to mix the solution well.
- Step 3: Apply the Cynoff insecticide mixture according to the label directions around areas where you have noted pest activity. Indoors, this can be along baseboards, storage areas, window frames, plumbing, and cabinets. Outdoors, spray the product along cracks and crevices and apply it as a barrier treatment around the building foundation.
- Step 4: Reapply quarterly for year-long control and prevention of problem pests.

Special Considerations
Cynoff is an emulsifiable concentrate, which means it can settle once diluted in water. Because of this, we recommend that anything you mix up be used the same day.
