Cynoff EC Insecticide
Cynoff EC Insecticide
Cynoff EC by FMC Professional Solutions is a professional insecticide that delivers effective control of many common insects for residential areas and places of business both indoors and outdoors. Cynoff EC is a liquid concentrate that can be used to kill cockroaches and up to 20 other common household pests in a quick efficient manner.
Cynoff EC Insecticide's main active ingredient is cypermethrin, which is a chemical pyrethroid. This ingredient promises to deliver a quick knockdown and long-lasting control of a long list of pests, including all types of cockroaches.
As an added bonus, Cynoff EC leaves a great residual which will keep on killing long after the initial application, meaning you won’t have to spray constantly to get rid of your problem pest. The residual will be picked up by insects who stroll over the concentrate and it will be absorbed through the body or ingested. So on top of killing the bugs you’ve seen, Cynoff EC Insecticide will also take out the stragglers in hiding or ones that you missed.
Tools Needed
To use Cynoff EC Insecticide you will need to dilute it with water inside a hand-pump, backpack or hose-end sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Cynoff EC insecticide you will need by first calculating the square footage of the target area you wish to treat. To do this, measure (in feet) the area length and the width, then multiply the two values (length x width = square footage). Cynoff EC can be mixed at a rate of 0.5 oz. for a .1% concentration or 1 fl. oz. for a .2% concentration depending on the pest you are treating. So for example, if you are treating cockroaches and have a 2,500 sq. ft. area to treat, you would need to use the .2% concentration rate. 2.5 fl. oz. will need to be mixed in 2.5 gallons of water.
- Step 2: In a sprayer, fill halfway with the appropriate amount of water. Add Cynoff EC at the measured rate based on your calculations and agitate. Add the remaining half of water to the sprayer and shake the sprayer to mix the solution well.
- Step 3: Apply the Cynoff insecticide mixture according to label directions around areas where you have noted pest activity. Indoors this can be along baseboards, storage areas, window frames, plumbing and cabinets. Outdoors, spray the product along cracks and crevices and apply as a barrier treatment around the building foundation.
- Step 4: Reapply Cynoff Insecticide quarterly for year-long control and prevention of problem pests.
Where to Use
Cynoff EC can be used both indoors and outdoors around industrial buildings, houses, apartment buildings, laboratories, buses, greenhouses (non-commercial), and the nonfood/feed areas of stores, warehouses, vessels, railcars, trucks, trailers, aircraft (Do not use in aircraft cabins), schools, nursing homes, hospitals, restaurants, hotels, and food manufacturing, processing, and servicing establishments.
For indoor use spray Cynoff EC in areas such as baseboards, corners, closets, doors, windows and others in homes to office buildings. All outdoor applications should be spot or crack-and-crevice treatments except for the following uses on soil or vegetation around structures; applications to lawns, turf, and other vegetation; or to building foundations, up to a maximum height of 3 feet.
When to Use
Use Cynoff EC Insecticide when you have noticed insect activity in or around the home. Peak times are around the spring time into the summer.
Safety Information
Cynoff EC should be stored safely out of reach of children or pets and after applying everyone should be kept off the treated area until it is dry. Once dry the product is clear and odorless and is safe. Be sure to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying.
Special Considerations
Cynoff is an emulsifiable concentrate which means it can settle out once diluted in water. Because of this, we recommend that anything you mix up is used the same day. Before mixing the bottle you will also want to give it a quick shake and you may have to repeatedly agitate the sprayer during application.
