Crossroad Herbicide
Crossroad Herbicide
Crossroad Herbicide, manufactured by Prime Source, is a low-volatile weed and brush herbicide against tough-to-control trees, brush, and broadleaf weeds on rangelands, fence rows, and other non-crop areas.
Eliminates dense weed and tree infestations such as blackberries with the active ingredient 2,4-D 34.4% and triclopyr 16.5%.
Crossroad Herbicide makes it easy to control annual and perennial weeds from around plants in non-crop and non-timber areas.
Tools Needed
To use Crossroad Herbicide, you will need to use either a handheld pump sprayer, ground broadcast equipment, aerial application equipment, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Crossroad Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Broadcast applications on rangelands and pastures, apply 1 to 4 quarts of Crossroad Herbicide per 10 to 30 gallons of water per acre. For CRP applications, apply 1 to 2 quarts of product per 10 gallons of water per acre for small weed control or 4 quarts of product per 10 gallons of water per acre for deep-rooted perennial and susceptible woody species control. Non-cropland applications, use 4 quarts of product per 10 to 30 gallons of water per acre as a foliar broadcast spray. For turf applications, use 2 to 4 pints of product per 20 to 200 gallons of water per acre or 1.5 oz of product in 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the label for specific application rates.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Crossroad Herbicide, then fill the rest of the way with remaining half of water. Close the spray tank lid and shake until the solution is mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the mixed Crossroad Herbicide on the ground around the base of the weed until visibly wet. Wait until 30 days have passed after last application before making a second application.
Where to Use
Crossroad Herbicide can be used on rangeland, permanent grass pastures, conservation reserve program (CRP) acres, fence rows, non-irrigation ditch banks, roadsides, other non-crop areas and industrial sites.
Do not use on bentgrass.
When to Use
Use Crossroad Herbicide when weeds are present around foliage that is well-established and when trees have diameters larger than 6 to 8 inches.
Safety Information
Crossroad Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not allow lactating dairy animals to graze treated areas until the next growing season following application of this product. Grazed areas of non-cropland and forestry sites may be spot treated if they comprise no more than 10% of the total grazable area.
Do not allow people or pets to enter treated areas until sprays have dried.
Special Considerations
During the season of Crossroad Herbicide application, withdraw livestock from grazing treated grass at least 3 days before slaughter.
