Criterion 75 WSP Insecticide
Criterion 75 WSP Insecticide is a powerful, long-lasting insecticide that delivers exceptional results against pests in turf, landscape ornamentals, fruit and nut trees, and interior plantscapes.
04/10/26
Criterion 75 WSP Insecticide, manufactured by Bayer, is an excellent foliar and systemic insecticide that provides broad-spectrum control of over 100 insect species in turf, ornamentals, and trees.
This water-soluble powder insecticide contains 75% Imidacloprid, a highly effective neonicotinoid active ingredient that targets insects through ingestion or contact, such as grubs, billbugs, and more. Once applied, the active ingredient is taken up by plant roots and distributed throughout the plant’s vascular system, delivering protection from the inside out.
Criterion 75 WSP Insecticide is a convenient pre-measured insecticide that protects residential, commercial, and industrial plants from the inside out for up to 12 weeks.
Tools Needed
It can be applied with a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, hose-end sprayer, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Criterion 75 WSP Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For turf in residential, commercial, and industrial areas, apply 1.6 oz. (1 packet) of Criterion 75 WSP Insecticide per 2 gallons of water per 8,250 to 11,000 sq. ft. For outdoor ornamentals in residential, commercial, and industrial landscape areas, use 1.6 oz. (1 packet) of product per 300 gallons of water. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Drop the required amount of unopened packets into the spray tank or mixing container while filling it with the required water. The packets should dissolve in a few minutes.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of weed leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. The next day, lightly water the treated area. A second application may be needed after 10 days from the first treatment.
