It can be applied to a variety of plants, including more than 410 ornamentals in landscape beds. It also can be applied on most turf types ― including cool- and warm-season turfgrasses.
Crew Speciality Herbicide stands as an effective solution for weed control across various terrains, offering reliable results.
Tools Needed
Apply Crew Speciality Herbicide using a drop spreader, handheld spreader, or rotary-type spreader.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Crew Speciality Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For cool- and warm-season turfgrasses, apply Crew Specialty Herbicide at a rate of 150 to 200 pounds per acre or 3.44 to 4.59 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft. For application in landscape beds, apply at a rate of 150 pounds per acre or 3.44 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer the label for specific rates.
- Step 2: Load the spreader with the proper amount of Crew Speciality Herbicide after its been adjusted to the proper calibration.
- Step 3: Spread the Crew Speciality Herbicide evenly across the treatment area. Irrigate treated areas at least within 7 days of application with 0.5 inches of water.
Where to Use
Crew Speciality Herbicide can be used for landscape ornamentals, established turfgrass (commercial and residential), ornamental and sports turf, golf course fairways, aprons and roughs, tee boxes, campgrounds, parks, recreation areas, cemeteries and unimproved turfgrass areas, and non-crop areas.
When to Use
Apply Crew Speciality Herbicide prior to weed seed germination. For postemergence crabgrass control, apply the recommended rate prior to the five-leaf growth stage or first tiller.
Do not apply when extreme cold stress (35F or lower) is expected.
Safety Information
Crew Speciality Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying this product.
Do not graze or feed forage from treated fields to livestock.
Special Considerations
Do not apply while plants are producing a new flush of spring growth; tender, newly forming leaves are especially sensitive and may be injured by Crew Speciality Herbicide.
