This product does not provide residual weed control.Cornerstone 5 Plus Weed Killer, manufactured by Winfield United, is a powerful post-emergent herbicide that offers consistent and dependable results against 100 types of annual and perennial weeds, brush, and trees in as little as 2 days of application.
With its systemic action, this non-selective herbicide penetrates plant tissues and moves to the roots, ensuring complete kill-down. Additionally, Cornerstone 5 Plus Weed Killer has no soil residual activity, resulting in quicker replanting and seeding of desired foliage.
Cornerstone 5 Plus Weed Killer is an easy-to-use, fast-acting systemic herbicide with a glyphosate-based formula that controls difficult weeds such as dandelions, clover, annual bluegrass, and more. Provides flexible, broad-spectrum weed control that eliminates all vegetation it comes in contact with, ensuring total weed control.
Tools Needed
It can be applied through most standard industrial or field-type sprayers, handheld sprayers, knapsack sprayer, boom or boomless systems, pull-type sprayer, floaters, pick-up sprayers, spray coupes, backpack sprayer, handguns, handwands, mistblowers, lances and other hand-held and motorized spray equipment.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Cornerstone 5 Plus Weed Killer to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For grass seed and sod production, apply 1.5 to 4.5 pts. of Cornerstone 5 Plus Weed Killer in 10 to 20 gallons of water per acre to control weeds between grass seed rows. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank halfway with clean water. Add the required amount of Cornerstone 5 Plus while continuously agitating. Fill the rest of the tank with water and mix thoroughly.
- Step 3: Ensure full leaf coverage, including the top and bottom of leaves, until wet, but not to the point of runoff. If needed, reapply according to the label instructions for the treatment site.
Where to Use
Cornerstone 5 Plus Weed Killer can be used for asparagus, cereal and grain crops, corn, cotton, fallow systems, herbs, peanuts, pineapple, soybeans, sugarcane, sunflower, vegetable crops, tree crops, vine crops, shrub crops, pasture grasses, forage legumes, rangelands, conservation reserve programs, grass sed, sod production, roundup ready crops, non-crop uses around farmstead, non-crop sites, greenhouse, shade house, habitat restoration and maintenance, and wildlife food plots.
When to Use
Applications made above the crops should be made when the weeds are a minimum of 6 inches above the desirable vegetation. Better results may be obtained when more of the weed is exposed to the herbicide solution.
Weeds not contacted by the herbicide solution will not be affected. This may occur in dense clumps, severe infestations, or when the height of the weeds varies so that not all weeds are contacted. In these instances, repeat treatments may be necessary.
Safety Information
Cornerstone 5 Plus Weed Killer is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep people and pets off-treated areas until the spray solution has dried.
Special Considerations
This product can be mixed with additives containing surfactant, buffering agents or pH adjusting agents.
Do not allow treated weeds to come in contact with the crop. Droplets, mist, foam or splatter of the herbicide solution settling on the crop may result in discoloration, stunting or destruction.
