Contrac Rodent Bait with Lumitrack
Contrac Rodent Bait with Lumitrack
Contrac Rodent Bait with Lumitrack, manufactured by Bell Labs, is a popular rodent bait and is a single-feeding coagulant bait that not only can kill rats and mice quickly but can also monitor their movement.
This is done so with the addition of Lumitrack which is an additive that causes rodent droppings to glow under UV or black light. This helps to track their activity and make accurately determine where they are hanging out.
This durable bait can hold up in any weather and is highly palatable to rodents so if you are experiencing and infestation, this is a bait you should give a try.
Tools Needed
To use Contrac Rodent Bait you will need to use a bait station for safety reasons or you can place them in tight corners or nail them to ceilings or rafters.
How to Use
- Step 1: Identify troubled areas (where the mouse or rat droppings have been sighted, small holes and cracks in walls, between small openings behind or close to appliances) to have a good starting point where blocks can be placed around the perimeter or inside your house.
- Step 2: Place Contrac Rodent Bait, preferably in bait stations, then place bait stations near areas of rat or mouse activity. For Norway Rats and Roof Rats, you’ll want to place about 2 to 8 blocks per area, separating between 15 to 30 feet from each other (Use 1 block per area for mice between 1 to 12 feet). For Mice, place 1 to 2 packs every 10 feet around the infested area.
- Step 3: Maintain a fresh supply of blocks for 10 days until there is no longer activity of recent feeding by these rodents.
- Step 4: Wearing gloves, collect and dispose of all dead, exposed rodents and leftover bait. If reinfestation does occur, repeat treatment. Where a continuous source of infestation is present, establish permanent bait stations and replenish as needed.
