Confront Herbicide
Confront Herbicide
Confront Herbicide is a superior postemergence herbicide that controls more than 35 difficult-to-manage species of broadleaf weeds.
Confront Herbicide, manufactured by DOW/CORTEVA, offers efficient weed control while ensuring safety and environmental responsibility.
Its formulation combines two active ingredients and provides 12 weeks of control with one application, saving on product and labor costs associated with repeat treatments.
Confront Herbicide is dependable nonphenoxy herbicide that works well on many tough broadleaf weeds like cocklebur, ground ivy, and henbit.
Tools Needed
Confront Herbicide can be applied using backpack sprayers, handheld sprayers, or other suitable spraying equipment.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Confront Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). General applications will use 0.55 fl. oz. of Confront Herbicide per 0.5 - 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the label for specific rates.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Confront Herbicide, then pour in the remaining amount of water. Close the tank lid and shake until solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Ensure thorough coverage of the target area while avoiding overspray onto desirable plants.
Where to Use
Confront Herbicide can be used for established warm-seasoned turf, established cool-seasoned turf, and sod farms.
When to Use
Apply Confront Herbicide when soil is greater or less than 2% organic matter on days when rainfall is expected to occur.
The use of this product in the spring when warm season turfgrass is breaking dormancy may significantly delay green up of the turfgrass.
Safety Information
Confront Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep people and pets out of treated areas until 48 hours have passed after application.
Special Considerations
Do not treat warm season turfgrass with Confront Herbicide when the mowing height is less than 1/2 inch.
