Universal Spill Kit, manufactured by SpillTech, is an emergency spill response kit that can be used to clean up various liquid spills that could be a safety hazard, including pesticides. The entire kit consists of: 

• 16 absorbent Polypropylene pads
• 2 absorbent cellulose filled socks
• 1 roll of caution tape and a tie
• Zippable chemical resistant bag to hold all the materials

This easy to use kit can easily kept in pesticide service vehicles, warehouses, homes and various other places so you can quickly spring into action upon accidental chemical spills or splashes. With its durable design it readily absorbs spills 7 times quicker than conventional spill kits made with clay.

Tools Needed

The Universal Spill Kit comes with all the necessary spill prevention tools but a shovel may be needed for digging dirt to help contain outdoor spills. A broom is needed for sweeping up debris. You will also need to wear PPE before cleaning spills.

How to Use

• Step 1: After placing on the necessary PPE, stop the flow of liquid to the area using the 2 absorbent cellulose socks. This will confine the spill and prevent it from flowing over.
• Step 2: Place an absorbent Polypropylene pad directly on top of the spill. It will begin to absorb the liquid into the pad. Use as many as you need out of the 16 pads provided.
• Step 3: When the pads have absorbed liquid to capacity, pick it up and dispose of the liquid properly in a bag or bucket or the trash if it is safe to throw away. Replace with additional pads as needed until all the liquid is absorbed.
