ClimbUp Tank Insect Interceptor

ClimbUp Tank Insect Interceptor, manufactured by Susan Mcknight, is a large bed bug monitoring system that easily slides underneath the legs of various furniture like beds or couches.

This non-repellent product is lined with an interior coating of lubricant made out of Talc to keep the most persistent bed bugs from climbing out and helps to detect early infestations before spreading to other parts of your home.

ClimbUp Tank Insect Interceptor is an easy to use pitfall trap that contains an interior well and outer well for the containment of bed bugs.

Tools Needed

No additional tools are needed for ClimbUp Tank Insect Interceptor except for the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) like gloves.

How to Use

• Step 1: Eliminate all pathways for bed bugs to access furniture by removing hanging clothes or objects from furniture and pulling everything from touching the wall. You will need to disconnect all electric cords between the bed and wall. All sheets and comforters should be tucked in.
• Step 2: Cautiously lift the furniture until legs are in the center of the ClimbUp Tank Insect Interceptor. One product per furniture leg will be used. 
• Step 3: Leave the ClimbUp Tank Insect Interceptor for a minimum of 21 days or indefinitely to continually monitor for bed begs. Bed bugs caught in the trap can be removed with a gloved hand and a cotton ball lightly soaked in Talc and immediately placed in a sealed plastic bag for disposal in a outside trashcan.

Where to Use

ClimbUp Tank Insect Interceptor can be used indoors underneath the legs of furniture like beds, chairs, tables, sofas, couches, clothing racks, and anything else with a leg.

When to Use

Use ClimbUp Tank Insect Interceptor at the first sign of bed bug activity or after traveling.
