Civitas Turf Defense
Civitas Turf Defense is a revolutionary fungicide, insecticide, and plant protectant that strengthens the plant’s natural defenses against stress, disease, and turf pests with one convenient solution.
04/26/26
Civitas Turf Defense, manufactured by Intelligro, is a multi-action turf solution that defends against insects, disease, and stress while making your turf visibly greener and stronger. With fewer chemical inputs and lasting results, it’s the smart, sustainable way to elevate turf performance on every level.
This isn’t a one-trick pony. Civitas Turf Defense defends turf against disease, insects, and environmental stressors. While many fungicides only tackle fungal pathogens, this multi-layered product supports the turf in activating its systemic acquired resistance. In other words, it trains the turf to fight back.
Civitas Turf Defense is a highly refined mineral-oil based insecticide, fungicide, and plant protectant that increases the turf's tolerance to both abiotic and biotic stressors, promoting healthier turf under various conditions. Whether you’re managing a large treatment area such as sports or athletic fields or just want to lower pesticide usage, Civitas delivers. You can rely on reduced chemical dependency and still meet high standards of turf quality.
Tools Needed
A handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or hose-end sprayer can be used.
You will need Civitas Harmonizer, which does not come with this purchase.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Civitas Turf Defense to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). Depending on the disease or pest you will use one of the following two rates. Apply 8 fl. oz. of Civitas Turf Defense with 0.5 fl. oz. of Civitas Harmonizer per 1-5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. The other application rate you can use is 16 fl. oz. of product with 1.0 fl. oz. of Civitas Harmonizer per 1-5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of Civitas Turf Harmonizer and Civitas Harmonizer, and then pour the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of the leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. If needed, a second application can be made 14 days after the first treatment. Do not make spot applications. After application, irrigate the treated area with 0.5 inches of water.
Where to Use
Civitas Turf Defense can only be used on turf on golf courses, sports, and athletic fields.
When to Use
It should be applied to non-dormant, healthy turf, preventatively, prior to the onset of disease symptoms. Apply prior to insect or disease symptoms, and use it as a component of an integrated pest management (IPM) program.
Avoid applications when rainfall is expected within the next 24 hours of application.
Safety Information
Civitas Turf Defense is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not allow people or pets to enter the treated area until the spray has dried.
