Cidetrak IMM MEC, manufactured by Trece, is an easy to use microencapsulated insecticide that provides an economical solution against egg laying activities and larvae of moths for retail, food-processing, and raw commodity facilities.

Often more effective than other insecticides over time since this product creates a 3-way effect on male and female moth mating activities. Cidetrak IMM MEC slowly releases a non-toxic synthetic replica of the female moth pheromone to attract males. Male moths will follow this false trail leading them away from desired areas and result in antennal overload.

Cidetrak IMM MEC contains a superior male moth disruption formulation that ensures warehouses and manufacturing facilities can continue to function with no need of shutdowns for treatment or potential damages in the future.

Tools Needed

To apply Cidetrak IMM MEC, you will need to use either a handheld pump sprayer, electric sprayer, or fogging equipment like a ULV, mechanical misting sprayers, aerosol generators, or thermal fogger.

This product can be mixed with an adulticide or insect growth regulator.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Cidetrak IMM MEC to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Applications as a general surface treatment will use 1 oz. of Cidetrak IMM MEC per gallon of water per 3,500 sq. ft. of surface area. For fogging applications, use 1 oz. of product per 49,000 cubic foot. Do not exceed the rate of 3.5 g pheromone per 1,000 sq. ft. per year.
  • Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add the measured amount of Cidetrak IMM MEC, then pour in the remaining half of water. Close the sprayer tank and shake until the solution is mixed. Fill your fogger as instructed in its product manual.
  • Step 3: When Cidetrak IMM MEC is applied as a general surface spray, spot treatment, or crack and crevice treatment make sure food items are removed before application. Spray to the point of wet on labeled areas, but not to the point of runoff. When making fogging applications, you need to close the area and shut off all ventilation systems. Apply the product in the air and direct mist toward all areas that may harbor target pests. After treatment, leave the room closed for 30 minutes or longer as recommended by the equipment manufacturer or the labels of other products applied in tank mixing. Reapply this product on a 90 day schedule with 30-90 day retreatment intervals depending upon monitoring results and infestation levels.
