Tools Needed
You will need a professional spray rig as it is meant mainly for large-volume applications. For smaller applications, you will need a hand pump sprayer or a backpack sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Chlorothalonil 720 SFT you will need to mix by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the treatment areas' length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length x width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (length X width = acreage). The typical rate for ornamental plants is 1.375 pints of Chlorothalonil 720 SFT per 100 gallons of water per acre. For smaller treatments on turfgrasses, golf course greens, and tees, the rate is 2 to 5.5 fl. oz. of product in 2 to 10 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. You will need to check the label for specifics on the rate to use depending on the disease you want controlled and where you are applying the product.
- Step 2: Shake well and mix the product into your selected sprayer by adding half the required amount of water to the spray tank, followed by the appropriate measured amount of Daconil based on your calculations. Fill with the remaining half of the necessary amount of water and agitate the sprayer to ensure the product is mixed well.
- Step 3: Spray the fungicide onto the plant's leaf, placing the sprayer on a fan spray setting for even coverage. Apply water to the plant after spraying to form a film and protect it from infection.
- Step 4: Repeat applications can be made 7 to 28 day intervals if necessary depending on the disease being controlled and where you are applying the product.
