Cease Biofungicide
Cease Biofungicide
Cease Biofungicide, manufactured by BioWorks, is a contact biological fungicide that contains a patented strain of the bacterium Bacillus subtilis which work to control a broad-spectrum of diseases on residential and commercial ornamentals, fruits, and vegetables.
Provides effective control over multiple fungal and bacterial diseases by destroying plant pathogens, while creating a natural barrier on the leaves surface to prevent parasitic attacks for up to 28 days.
Cease Biofungicide performs as well as other copper-based fungicides without stunting the desired plants growth or leaving behind harmful residues. As an OMRI listed fungicide this product is an excellent alternative to synthetic chemicals and is safe enough for beneficial insects and predatory mites.
Tools Needed
Cease Biofungicide can be applied in commonly used ground equipment, hose-end, pressurized, greenhouse, and hand-held sprayers. We recommend using a spray rig for large volume applications.
This product can also be applied by aerial application equipment or chemigation (sprinkler (center pivot, lateral move, end tow, side (wheel) roll, traveler, solid set, and hand move) or drip type irrigation systems).
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Cease Biofungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Treat listed greenhouse crops at the rate of 3-6 quarts of Cease Biofungicide per 100 gallons of water. Foliar applications on ornamentals, seedlings, bedding plants, and conifers will use 2-8 quarts of product per 100 gallons of water per acre. Post-harvest dip applications on cut flowers, apply 6-25 fl. oz. of product in 10 gallons of water soon after cutting. When used as a soil drench treatment in field, interiorscapes, greenhouses, glasshouses, shadehouses, or nurseries (indoors and outdoors), open or enclosed, use 4-8 quarts of product per 100 gallons of water. Refer to the product label for specific maximum dosage rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Cease Biofungicide must be fully diluted with water. Partially fill the spray tank with clean water and begin agitation. Add the specified amount of Cease Biofungicide to the tank. Finish filling the tank with the remaining half of water. It is critical that the spray solution be agitated during mixing and application to assure a uniform suspension. Do not allow spray mixture to stand overnight or for prolonged periods of time.
- Step 3: Ensure the sprayer or irrigation system is properly calibrated before you begin spraying Cease Biofungicide. Spray the mixed solution over the top of the plants until wet, but no more than 10 feet above the largest plants and not to the point of runoff.
Where to Use
Cease Biofungicide is for use in greenhouse, nursery, landscape, interiorscape, shade house and field (except fruits and vegetables); on ornamentals, trees, shrubs, potted and cut flowers, annuals, perennials, foliage, seedlings, conifers, and fruits and vegetables grown in greenhouse/nursery.
When to Use
Apply Cease Biofungicide on calm, warm days when heavy rainfall or irrigation is not expected to occur within 24 hours of application. This product can be applied up to and including the day of harvest.
Safety Information
Cease Biofungicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep people and pets out of the treated area until the spray has completely dried.
Special Considerations
Cease Biofungicide is primarily a protectant and will not cure any present plant diseases.
