04/10/26
Catchmaster Disposable Fly Trap, manufactured by Catchmaster, is a mess-free, disposable outdoor fly trap that uses a water-activated lure to attract and trap up to 30,000 flies, then seals shut for easy, sanitary disposal.
One of the most overlooked but important features is the innovative locking cap. It prevents messy spills while the trap is hanging and makes disposal much cleaner. When it’s full, you can lock it and toss it without risk of liquid leaking out and unwanted odors.
Catchmaster Disposable Fly Trap is an effective open pop cap and twist tie trap that offers homeowners, livestock owners, and business owners a low-maintenance control option against various flies. Unlike sprays that kill on contact but don’t prevent more flies from coming, this trap works proactively, reducing the population over time. Set it up in minutes, walk away, and come back to a dramatically reduced fly population.
Tools Needed
No tools are needed. Simply remove it from the packaging, pop open the cap, add water to activate the included attractant, and hang it using the built-in twist tie.
How to Use
- Step 1: Pick an outdoor spot where flies are active but away from where people or animals gather. Remove the trap from its packaging and add unscrew or pull open the top cap.
- Step 2: Fill with water up to the fill line.
- Step 3: Use the built‑in hanger to attach it to a fence post, tree branch, hook, or any sturdy outdoor fixture. Keep it at least 4 to 6 feet above the ground for the best results.
- Step 4: Once the trap is full or after 30 days seal it tightly and throw it in the trash. Do not attempt to reuse.
Where to Use
Catchmaster Disposable Fly Trap can be used outdoors around sites such as dumpsters, compactor areas, barns, home exteriors, farms, camping sites, decks, and patios.
Install in sunny areas as direct sunlight will increase the effectiveness of the lure.
When to Use
The best time to set these traps is at the start of fly season, typically spring through early fall before populations peak. Flies reproduce quickly, so early trapping can drastically reduce the number of adults before they lay eggs.
Safety Information
Catchmaster Disposable Fly Trap is safe for people and pets when installed according to the product manual instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and installing this product.
Special Considerations
Avoid deploying in windy areas as the wind will scatter the flies.
