Cal-Vantage Liquid Fertilizer
Cal-Vantage Liquid Fertilizer
Cal-Vantage Liquid Fertilizer, manufactured by EarthWorks, is an effective 6-0-0 liquid fertilizer that provides a sustainable soil environment in turf and landscapes and improves playing conditions on turf.
Unlike singular calcium products, chelated or not, this product will improve availability and microbial breakdown and highest amount of raw materials naturally found in soil to provide a consistent food source to microbes. This improves nutrient mobility, reduce thatch buildup, and can help build humis which manages water release.
Cal-Vantage Liquid Fertilizer ensures that adequate amounts of calcium along with boron are taken up into the plants root zone, greatly reducing the potential for sodium induced wilt and localized dry spots.
Tools Needed
Cal-Vantage Liquid Fertilizer can be applied with a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or hose-end sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Cal-Vantage Liquid Fertilizer to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Apply 2 to 8 oz. of Cal-Vantage Liquid Fertilizer in 2-3 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. of turf. For calcium deficient turf soils, use 8 oz. of product in 3-5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. To treat landscapes, use 4 to 6 oz. of product in 2 gallons of water. For sodium removal, apply 8 to 16 oz. of product in 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft.
- Step 2: Fill your sprayer with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Cal-Vantage Liquid Fertilizer, then pour in the remaining half of water. Close the spray tank lid and shake until solution is evenly-mixed.
- Step 3: On a low spray pattern, treat the top soil layer with mixed Cal-Vantage Liquid Fertilizer until wet. Retreat foliage every 4 to 8 weeks.
Where to Use
Apply Cal-Vantage Liquid Fertilizer to the soil in turf and landscapes.
As a drench treatment, drench around the base of trees, shrubs and flower beds.
When to Use
Use Cal-Vantage Liquid Fertilizer on low CEC soils, calcium deficient soils, and until calcium maintenance rates are achieved.
