Brushmaster Herbicide
Brushmaster Herbicide
Brushmaster Herbicide is an excellent solution for effectively managing broadleaf weeds and brush in non-cropland spaces such as roadsides and fence lines.
Brushmaster Herbicide, manufactured by PBI Gordon, is a budget friendly and highly effective product in controlling a wide range of broadleaf weeds as well as woody plants in non-cropland areas.
Containing a formulation of three essential ingredients, Brushmaster Herbicide is specifically designed to tackle challenging weeds, including stubborn varieties like honeysuckle and poison ivy.
Brushmaster Herbicide can also serve as an effective solution for stump treatment, facilitating the removal of unwanted tree stumps.
Tools Needed
To use Brushmaster Herbicide you will need either a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, knapsack sprayer, or a spray rig for larger areas requiring a broadcast treatment.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Brushmaster Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Do this by measuring the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage.) For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For spot treatments in ornamental lawns and turf, mix 1.5 fl. oz. of Brushmaster Herbicide per 1 gallon of water for every 1,000 sq. ft. For broadcast treatments on ornamental lawns and turf, use 4-6 pints of product in 20-260 gallons of water per acre. For broadcast applications to woody plants, use 4.0 gallons of product in 100-400 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the label for specific application rates.
- Step 2: Once you have the correct mix rate calculated, add half of the required amount of water to the tank in your selected sprayer. Then add the needed amount of Brushmaster Herbicide. Once complete, add the remaining half of water, seal tank, and agitate well before use. Continually agitate while spraying.
- Step 3: Spray Brushmaster Herbicide thoroughly by wetting all leaves, stems, bark and root collars until wet, but not to the point of runoff. When dealing with woody plants, the maximum number of treatments allowed per year is one. Do not water the lawn within 24 hours after application.
Where to Use
Brushmaster Herbicide can be used in non-cropland sites like barrier strips, farmyards, fencerows or fence lines, firebreaks, highway rights-of-way (principal, interstate, county, private, and unpaved roads), roadsides, roadside ditches, road shoulders, road embankments, dividers, medians, industrial sites, lumberyards, tank farms, fuel or equipment storage areas, municipal lands, state lands, federal lands, airports and military installations, railroad rights-of-way, recreation areas, fairgrounds, golf courses, parks, areas adjacent to athletic fields, utility rights-of-way, telephone, pipeline, electrical powerlines, and communication transmission lines.
This product can also be used for ornamental lawns and turf.
Not for use on ornamental grasses such as Carpetgrass, Dichondra, St. Augustinegrass, Bentgrass, on lawns or turf where desirable clovers are present, nor to newly seeded grasses until well established.
Refrain from spraying droplets onto vegetables, flowers, ornamental plants, shrubs, trees, and other desired plants. Do not pour spray solutions in the vicinity of these plants.
When to Use
Brushmaster Herbicide can be applied when undesirable weeds are present. It is especially effective during warm weather when both brush and broadleaf weeds are in their early and active growth stages.
Do not apply when temperatures exceed 85 degrees fahrenheit and humidity is high.
Safety Information
Brushmaster Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not enter or allow people (or pets) to enter the treated area until sprays have dried
Special Considerations
