Boscalid Fungicide, manufactured by Quali-Pro, is a professional systemic fungicide that provides excellent preventative control over foliar and soil-borne diseases within golf course turfgrass and ornamental plants.

As a systemic water-dispersable granule fungicide, this product will absorb into the treated plant and move within its tissue. This allows for long-lasting control and protection, as Boscalid Fungicide can travel to different parts of the plant, preventing the spread of diseases like powdery mildew, dollar spot, bentgrass dead spot, and more.

Boscalid Fungicide offers affordable soilborne, seedling, and crown disease control with its strong residual, resulting in fewer costly applications. Easy to measure, mix, and apply for professional plant owners seeking effective disease management.

Tools Needed

It may be applied with a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, spray rig, ground sprayer, helicopter, chemigation systems, and other aerial application equipment.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Boscalid Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For golf course turfgrass, use 0.13-0.18 oz. of Boscalid Fungicide in 2-4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. or 5.7-8.0 oz. of product per 87-174 gallons of water per acre. For foliar or crown-directed sprays on ornamentals, apply 4-8 oz. of product per 100 gallons of water. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
  • Step 2: Begin by filling the spray tank with half the amount of water, then add the measured amount of product. Next, pour in the remaining half of the water. Maintain agitation throughout the entire process until the fungicide has dissolved in the water.
  • Step 3: Depending on the treatment area and application method, the spraying type will vary. To perform ground applications, spray no higher than 4 feet above the ground or crop canopy. Aerial applications will need to be released no higher than 10 feet above the ground or vegetative canopy unless a greater application height is necessary for pilot safety. Chemigation system applications may be made as a drip or sprinkler application. Make applications to treat the entire foliage, including the underside of leaves, but not to the point of runoff. After application, allow foliage to dry prior to mowing or irrigation. The minimum retreatment interval of Boscalid is 7 days.

Where to Use

Boscalid Fungicide can be used for turfgrass grown on golf courses, in greenhouses, and in outdoor ornamentals.

Do not use on residential turfgrass, turfgrass being grown for sale, or other commercial use such as sod production, seed production, or for research purposes.

When to Use

Apply before the disease is present or during its early stages. Avoid applications when rainfall or irrigation is expected to occur within 48 hours of treatment.

Safety Information

Boscalid Fungicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Keep people and pets away from treated areas for at least 12 hours after application for all crops, except table grapes that may be subject to cane turning or cane girdling. You will need to keep people and pets away for 5 days for treated table grapes grown on T-trellis systems.

Special Considerations

Do not use in vegetables grown in greenhouses for crop production or in vegetable production of transplants for outdoor use.

This product also cannot be applied to fruit trees, nut trees, or vines that will bear harvestable fruit within 12 months.
