11/04/25
Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate, manufactured by Bonide, is a flowable pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicide for the control of crabgrass, annual grass and broadleaf weeds and sedges in residential lawns.
This product contains the active ingredient Sulfentrazone 1.36% and Prodiamine 2.73%, which works to quickly penetrate the surface of weeds down to the roots to completely eliminate the unwanted foliage from your homes lawn.
When applied on residential lawns, Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate can provide up to 60 days of control over germinating weeds.
Tools Needed
You will need a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or hose-end sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To find this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet and multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For cool-seasoned grasses, mix 2.75 oz. of Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For warm-seasoned grasses, use 5.5 oz. of product per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. To treat St. Augustinegrass apply 4.0 oz. of product per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Do not exceed 8.25 oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. per calendar year.
- Step 2: In a sprayer of your choice, add half the amount of water needed, then add the measured amount of Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate, and fill the rest of the way with the remaining half of the water.
- Step 3: Spray the entire surface of the lawn for pre-emergent control and directly above the top of emerged weeds until evenly covered. Adjust your sprayer on a low-pressure fan setting to easily control drift and avoid over-application as this may cause turf injury. Retreat as listed on the label.
Where to Use
Use Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate on residential home lawns containing cool-seasoned grass types such as Fine Fescue, Perennial Ryegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Tall Fescue, Cool-season mixtures and warm-seasoned grass types like Bahiagrass, Buffalograss, Carpetgrass, Centipedegrass, Kikuyugrass, Seashore Paspalum, Zoysiagrass, Bermudagrass, and St. Augustinegrass.
This product is not approved to be used on other turf types not mentioned above, landscape ornamentals, ornamental beds, or areas containing dichondra, colonial bentgrass, velvet bentgrass, or annual bluegrass.
When to Use
It is best applied in late summer, fall, or winter before weeds germinate and when turf is well-established and not suffering from unfavorable weather conditions, disease, chemical or mechanical influences.
Applications in the fall should be done when soil temperatures are below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, but prior to the ground freezing.
