Bonide Crabgrass and Weed Preventer is a slow-release pre-emergent herbicide that offers 2 to 4-month long control against weeds like crabgrass, spurge, and more in cool-seasoned and warm-seasoned turf and landscape ornamentals.

How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Bonide Crabgrass and Weed Preventer to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). A general application for turf in the north region of the United States will use 1.5 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft. A general application for turf in the south region of the United States will follow the rate of 1.9 to 2.2 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft. For landscape ornamentals, apply 6.9 oz. per 100 sq. ft. or 4.3 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Adjust the spreader to the proper calibration then load the proper amount of granules.
- Step 3: Spread the granules evenly across the treatment area. Avoid overlaps, skips, narrow rows, and concentrated bands. After application, water the granules in with 1/2 inches of irrigation.
Where to Use
Bonide Crabgrass and Weed Preventer can be used on established cool-seasoned lawns, established warm-seasoned lawns, and residential landscapes.
When to Use
Apply this product before weeds emerge on lawns or ornamentals that are well-established. For best results, apply this product within a few days after mowing and delay mowing again for a few days after the application.
