These imidacloprid-based granules work against numerous grub species in all of their life cycles, from eggs to larvae and fully developed pests. By breaking the life cycle, it prevents future infestations. Once watered in, the active ingredients are absorbed into the soil and taken up by the grass roots. This systemic action kills grubs below the surface where they feed and other above-ground pests like chinch bugs, european crane fly larvae, and more.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Bonide Annual Grub Beater Granules to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). To treat turf, apply 1.8 pounds of Bonide Annual Grub Beater Granules per 1,000 sq. ft. or 80 pounds per acre. For landscape plantings use 1.2 to 1.8 pounds of product per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: Adjust the spreader calibration then load the proper amount of granules in.
• Step 3: Spread the granules evenly across the treatment area. For optimum control, irrigation or rainfall should occur within 24 hours after application to move the active ingredient through the thatch.

Where to Use

Bonide Annual Grub Beater Granules can be used on turfgrass in home lawns, business and office complexes, shopping complexes, multi-family residential complexes, golf courses, airports, cemeteries, parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields. It can also be used on ornamentals in commercial and residential landscapes.

Not for use in commercial greenhouses, nurseries, on sod farms, or on grass grown for seed. For use on plants intended for aesthetic purposes or climatic modification and being grown in interior plantscapes, ornamental gardens or parks, or on golf courses or lawns and grounds.

When to Use

Apply this product when pest activity is first noticed or before they become active at any point throughout the spring and summer season.

Special Considerations

Do not use the type of spreaders which would apply the material in narrow, concentrated bands.
