The Bird-X Solar Yard Gard, manufactured by Bird-X, is a discreet electronic repellent that emits high-frequency sound waves to chase away unwanted animals and decrease activity in outdoor areas.

Designed to be virtually silent, this unit has an adjustable frequency of 15-25KHz that cannot be picked up by people. This effective product also comes equipped with an optional LED light and is powered via solar or an optional 3 AA rechargeable batteries. With its built-in infrared motion detector, it can easily activate within 3000 sq. ft. when pest move into its range. The motion detector is adjustable to cover areas as small as a flower pot to larger areas such as full-sized gardens.

The Bird-X Solar Yard Gard can easily be concealed in various terrains like grass, gardens, and more. This electronic animal repellent provides a safe and humane way of keeping outdoor spaces clear of annoying pests. With its water and weather-resistant construction, the Bird-X Solar Yard Gard will work year-round despite rainfall or other weather elements.

Tools Needed

There are no additional application tools needed to set up the Bird-X Solar Yard Gard, but you will need to make sure it is fully charged before operation. You can do this by leaving the Bird-X Solar Yard Gard outside for solar charging, or by using the USB charger that comes with it. 

How to Use:

• Step 1: Remove the battery cover being careful not to press on the lens or speaker. Install the 3 AA rechargeable batteries that are included and replace the battery cover. The light should stay on for 2 seconds indicating that the unit has been triggered. If this light does not come on, replace the batteries.
• Step 2: Place it outdoors in the desired treatment area, and try and position the speaker as close to the problem area as you can. You want the speaker facing in the main direction of the problem area. Be sure there are no physical obstructions in front of the device, as this will diminish the effect of the Bird-X Solar Yard Gard. 
• Step 3: Adjust the frequency and sensitivity to your desired effect, and the Bird-X Solar Yard Gard should be good to go. 

Where to Use

Attach the Bird-X Solar Yard Gard to the included stake approximately 4" above the ground of gardens, lawns, courtyards, docks, marinas, greenhouses, and pools. 

When to Use

Use the Bird-X Solar Yard Gard when you see signs of animal activity such as deer, raccoons, skunks, rabbits, feral cats, mice, wild pigs, insects, rodents, squirrels, possums, Javelinas, and other animals in undesired areas.

Bird-X Solar Yard Gard is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the manual instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this product.

Bird-X Solar Yard Gard success takes time to build. Pest habits may take several days or weeks to break. Follow all suggestions for maximum efficacy.
