Bifenture LFC Insecticide
Bifenture LFC Insecticide
Bifenture LFC Insecticide is a specially formulated insecticide that fights a variety of below-ground pests before they can damage crops.
*This product is a restricted use pesticide and must have a certified applicator license to be able to purchase.
Bifenture LFC Insecticide, manufactured by United Phosphorous, is a versatile suspended concentrate insecticide that controls major soil pests in crops, including Bt resistant pests.
Protects agricultural crops by killing pests like armyworms, grubs, and aphids by contact and its added flexibility of being mixed with start-up fertilizers, resulting in reduced labor and applications.
Bifenture LFC Insecticide creates an extra layer of crop protection for professional farmers before below-ground pests can destroy seeds and stunt root development. This effective insecticide tool is a great addition to any startup/pop-up liquid fertilizer programs for soil pests and has a 30 day residual that creates an excellent soil barrier from pests.
Tools Needed
To apply Bifenture LFC Insecticide, you will need to use a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, hose-end sprayer, spray rig, or chemigation system.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Bifenture LFC Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). To treat tomatoes, use 0.49 fl. oz. of Bifenture LFC Insecticide in 1 gallon of water per 1,000 linear foot or 6.8 - 8.5 fl. oz. of product in 10 gallons of water per acre. Refer the label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Shake the Bifenture LFC Insecticide container well before using. The spray tank should be filled 1/2 full with liquid fertilizer or water and then agitated continuously. Next add the appropriate amount of product, and then add the remaining amount of the fertilizer or water to the tank. Agitation should be maintained until the mixture has been applied.
- Step 3: Apply the Bifenture LFC Insecticide in-furrow with the seed, either as a broadcast application, a band over the open furrow (T-Band), over the row, or as a transplant-water drench during setting. Any of these applications methods used will required thorough coverage over treated areas.
Where to Use
Bifenture LFC Insecticide can be used for brassicas, bushberries (foliar only), cilantro, coriander, citrus (bare soil surface under drip line), field corn (grain and silage), popcorn, field corn grown for seed, sweet corn, sweet corn grown for seed, cucurbits, dried beans and peas, succulent beans and peas, eggplant, lettuce head, leafy brassicas, turnip greens, leafy petiole vegetables (foliar only), okra, peppers (non-bell and bell), sod farms (foliar only), soybeans, spinach, tobacco (pre-transplant and at-transplant), tomatoes, and tuberous and corm vegetables.
When to Use
Apply Bifenture LFC Insecticide during at-plant stage of seeds or to the soil surface after planting seeds. It may also be used when pest activity has begun on established crop trees.
Safety Information
Bifenture LFC Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep people and pets out of treated areas for the next 24 hours after application.
Special Considerations
Chinch Bugs infest the base of grass plants and are often found in the thatch layer. Irrigation of the grass area before treatment will optimize the penetration of Bifenture LFC Insecticide to the area where the chinch bugs are located.
