Fendona CS Insecticide
Fendona CS Insecticide
Fendona CS is manufactured by BASF and is a fast-acting and long-lasting controlled release insecticide labeled to treat more than 60 different pests such as spiders, wasps, flies, fleas, ticks, bed bugs and ants. The active ingredient in Fendona CS is cypermethrin and it is integrated with micro-encapsulated technology which gives it outstanding residual protection for up to 90 days. Fendona CS can be used both indoors and outdoors and has no odor and will not stain surfaces.
Tools Needed
To use Fendona CS, you will need either a hose-end sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or professional spray rig. For small household jobs, we recommend a handheld 1-gallon pump sprayer or a 4-gallon backpack sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Fendona CS you need to apply by calculating the square footage of the area you will be treating. You can do this by multiplying the length times width. Fendona CS Insecticide can be mixed with either 1 or 2 fluid ounces per gallon of water to treat 1,000 sq. ft.
- Step 2: Fill your sprayer halfway with water and then add the appropriate amount of Fendona CS. Fill the sprayer the rest of the way with water and then shake the sprayer well and you are ready to apply.
- Step 3: Apply the Fendona CS mixture in a coarse, low-pressure spray setting to the target area where you are having pest problems. To create an insect barrier, apply a band 10 feet wide around the perimeter and up to 3 feet high on a foundation. Use all around structures and in cracks and crevices where bugs may be residing.
Where to Use
Fendona CS is labeled to be used in and around commercial, industrial, and residential areas and buildings including agricultural buildings, airports, animal confinement buildings and pens, apartments, cafeterias, calf hutches, calving pens and parlors, campgrounds, empty chicken houses, churches, commercial buildings, convenience stores, cruise ships, dairy areas, dairy parlors, day care centers, dog kennels, egg laying facilities, food handling facilities, good processing plants, food storage areas, food vendors, garbage receptacles and corrals, golf courses, grain mills, granaries, health care facilities, hog barns, homes, horse barns and arenas, hospitals, hotels, industrial buildings, landscapes, lawns, libraries, malls, meat packing plants, milkrooms, motels, museums, nursing homes, ornamental plants, outdoor living areas, poultry houses, rabbit hutches, recreational areas, resorts, restaurants and other food handling establishments, schools, supermarkets, terminals, theme parks, trailers, transportation equipment (buses, boats, ships, trains, trucks, and planes – cargo areas only) utilities, washrooms, and warehouses
When to Use
Apply Fendona CS when pest activity is high. Due to the slow release of its active ingredient, it makes this product a perfect perimeter barrier treatment to defend against re-infestation during seasons when pests are more prone to manifest. For most areas of the country, this is between March and October. You will want to spray ever three months if you want year-long control of pests.
Safety Information
Fendona CS is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label. Be sure to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying. After application, everyone should be kept off the treated area until the product dries. Once dry, the product is clear and odorless and is safe.
Special Considerations
Fendona CS is a microencapsulated insecticide so that means it can settle out once diluted in water. Because of this, anything you mix up must be used the same day. It is also necessary to constantly agitate the solution in a spray tank during treatment.
