Barricor SP
04/14/26
Barricor SP, manufactured by Bayer, is a versatile broad spectrum insecticide that provide high-frequency or low-frequency applications to various surfaces that normally most pesticides cannot be applied too such as food handling establishments.
This solid particle product that can readily mix with water is specially designed to remain more volatile on complex surfaces without wear and tear when used appropriately. These complex surfaces include mulch, gravel, concrete, paint, plastics, fabrics, or other surfaces.
Barricor SP is an ideal insecticide that can be used for frequent applications at a low-minimum cost, when compared to other pyrethroid formulations while providing a stronger formulation.
Tools Needed
To use Barricor SP, you will need to mix this product with water within a hand pressurized sprayer or power operated sprayer like a backpack sprayer. We recommend using a handheld pump sprayer as this will easily apply products as a spot treatment while minimizing drift.
Do not apply as a space spray.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Barricor SP to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet and follow this formula (length X width = square footage). Barricor SP can be used at the rate 0.125 to 1.5 oz. of product per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. of treated surface. Refer to the label for specific application rates.
- Step 2: Shake your product container well before pouring into tank sprayer. Fill your sprayer halfway with water, add the measured amount of Barricor SP, then pour in the remaining half of water. Close your sprayer tank lid tightly and shake to ensure an even agitation.
- Step 3: Thoroughly spray on a fan-spray setting to labeled areas that may be conductive for pest activity, where pests can find shelter, or used as shelter. Spray until wet, but not to the point of run-off. You may retreat when 21 days have passed after first application.
Where to Use
Barricor SP can be applied to areas where pests normally feed, hide, or travel, such as floor-wall junctions, corners, around water pipes, behind and under refrigerators, cabinets, sinks, stoves, and applied to walls, floors, ceilings, in and around cabinets, between, behind and beneath equipment and appliances, around floor drains, window and door frames and around plumbing, sinks and other possible pest harborage sites. Entry points around water pipes, utility penetrations, windows, doors, vents, and eaves. Void applications can be made behind veneers, piers, and chimney bases, into rubble foundations, into block voids and structural voids, wall voids, under slabs, stoops, porches, or to the soil in crawlspaces, and other similar voids.

Pests found in livestock housing structures can be treated, but you will need to apply to areas of the facility when animals are not present nor allow them to re-enter until sprays have dried. Treat floors, floor coverings, carpets, or rugs for carpet beetles.
When these pests are found in upholstered furniture, apply to the infested tufts, seams, folds and edges, and under cushions, but do not make broadcast applications to flat surfaces where prolonged human or pet contact will occur.
Applications are permitted in food/feed and non-food/nonfeed areas of food/feed handling and processing establishments as a general surface, spot, void, or crack and crevice treatment on non-porous surfaces. Food/Feed handling establishments are defined as places other than private residences in which exposed food/feed is held, processed, prepared, or served. Included also are areas for receiving, storing, packing (canning, bottling, wrapping, boxing), preparing, edible waste storage and enclosed processing systems (mills, dairies, edible oils, syrups) of food/feed. Serving areas where food/feed is exposed and the facility is in operation are also considered food/feed areas. Non-Food/Non-Feed Areas: Examples of non-food/non-feed areas include garbage rooms, lavatories, floor drains (to sewers), entries and vestibules, offices, locker rooms, machine rooms, boiler rooms, mop closets and storage (after packaging, canning or bottling).
Do not apply to animal feed, food products, food-handling surfaces, and watering equipment.
When to Use
Barricor SP may be applied as a preventative or curative treatment of pest activity within the inside and outside of structures. Apply this product solution in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours.
