Banner Maxx II Fungicide, manufactured by Syngenta, is a systemic fungicide that provides effective broad-spectrum disease control in turf and ornamentals. The fungicide works by entering through the surface stem or root system and in doing so it prevents fungal cell growth by inhibiting sterol biosynthesis.

This emulsifiable concentrate product is an odorless micro-emulsion formulation and easy to mix and offers control of diseases for 21 to 28 days meaning you won't have to apply as often to protect your plants.

Banner Maxx ll Fungicide provides effective control through minimum application leading to increase of cost and application time.

Tools Needed

To use Banner Maxx ll Fungicide you will need either a hose end sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig. For the average residential treatment, we recommend a handheld 1-gallon pump sprayer or a hose end sprayer.

Do not use Banner Maxx ll Fungicide through any type of irrigation system or as a tree injection.

How to Use

Spray Subdue Maxx

  • Step 1: Determine how much Banner Maxx ll Fungicide to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To find this, measure the length and width of the treatment site in feet then multiply (length X width = square footage. For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acre). Applications on turfgrass will use 0.5 to 4 oz. of Banner Maxx ll Fungicide per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. depending on the disease. Do not apply more than 5.4 gallons of product per acre per year nor apply more than 16 oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. per calendar year. Ornamental plants can be treated with 2 to 24 oz. of product per 100 gallons of water. For outdoor uses, you may apply up to 5.4 gallons of product per acre per calendar year. For general disease control in landscapes, apply 6 to 8 oz. of product per 100 gallons of water every 21 days. Refer to the label for specific application rates.
  • Step 2: Mix Banner Maxx ll Fungicide into a sprayer of your choice. Fill the selected sprayer halfway with water, add measured amount of Banner Maxx ll Fungicide, then fill the rest of the way with remaining half of water. Shake the sprayer tank until solution is evenly-mixed.
  • Step 3: Spray the fungicide onto the leaf of the plant at height no greater than 4 feet above the foliage, placing the sprayer on a fan spray setting for even coverage. Wait until treated foliage is dry before irrigation is applied. For soil-borne diseases, treated areas can be watered in after application. Retreat applications can be made at 21 to 28 day intervals if necessary.

Where to Use

Banner Maxx II Fungicide can be applied on established cool-seasoned turfgrass, new-seedlings in the 2 to 3 leaf stage of growth, sod, field and container grown ornamental plants in nurseries, lath houses, shade houses, and landscape plantings.

Do not use in greenhouses or on African violets, begonias, Boston fern, or geraniums.

When to Use

Use this product either preventatively once a year during the growing season or whenever you have noticed and identified a disease on your plants. For sod, apply at least 2 to 6 weeks before cutting.

Apply after mowing or allowed sprayed areas to completely dry before mowing. Spray early in the morning when temperature inversions are least likely to occur and when wind speeds are beneath 15 mph.
