AzaGuard Insecticide Nematicide, manufactured by Biosafe Systems, is an organic, multi-action insecticide and nematicide that controls and repels a broad-spectrum of pests both indoors and outdoors. It functions not just as an insecticide, but also as an insect growth regulator, anti-feedant, ovi-position deterrent, and insect repellent.

While most neem products are simply cold-pressed oils with Azadirachtin, AzaGuard Insecticide Nematicide offers a highly refined, scientifically engineered formulation. It contains over 100 biologically active liminoids, not just Azadirachtin A and B. That means greater efficacy and a broader spectrum of control. And it does all of this without causing mutational resistance, which means pests can’t simply evolve their way out of trouble a major win for any long-term pest management strategy.

AzaGuard Insecticide Nematicide is a reliable, versatile, and effective insecticide, anti-feedant, insect growth regulator, and oviposition deterrent that meets all of the requirements of the National Organic Program (NOP) in crops. Say goodbye to soft-bodied pests and hello to stronger, healthier plants.

Tools Needed

You will need a hose-end sprayer, chemigation system, backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, hand held trigger type sprayer, or spray rig.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much AzaGuard Insecticide Nematicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For soil drenches on any plants grown indoors or in greenhouses, shadecloth, interiorscape, and nurseries use 1 pint of finished solution for each gallon of soil in the pot or 45 to 55 gallons of mixed solution per 1,000 sq. ft. of soil. Depending on the pest, use 8 to 21 fl. oz. of product per 30 to 200 gallons of water per acre of ornamentals. For turfgrass, mix 1/2 to 3/4 tablespoons of product in 3 gallons of water and apply to 2,500 sq. ft. For wider coverage in turf, mix 8 to 21 fl. oz. of product per 30 to 200 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
  • Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and then pour in the remaining half of water into the tank. Close the lid and shake until well-mixed.
  • Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of foliage until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Irrigate well before applying when treating turf.

Where to Use

AzaGuard Insecticide Nematicide can be used for greenhouse, mushroom house, hydrophonic, field grown food crops, greenhouse and field grown ornamental plants, trees, shrubs, compost, manure, commercial and industrial areas, lawns, turf, turfgrass (including golf courses and athletic fields), poultry litter, and livestock bedding.

It may also be used for non-food uses: such as athletic fields, barrier strips, campsites, cemeteries, farmyards, fence rows, fuel storage areas, grasslands, pastures, rights-of-way, sheds, soil banks, uncultivated or fallow farmland, vegetative barriers and fences, and areas surrounding agricultural farms or other buildings.
