Award 22-0-5 Weed & Feed w/ Trimec Broadleaf Weed Control
Award 22-0-5 Weed & Feed w/ Trimec Broadleaf Weed Control is a professional-grade fertilizer designed to nourish turf while effectively eliminating over 200 broadleaf weeds.
04/24/26
Award 22-0-5 Weed & Feed w/ Trimec Broadleaf Weed Control, manufactured by EC Grow, is a dual-action fertilizer and post-emergent herbicide that feeds warm-seasoned and cool-seasoned turf and controls a wide range of broadleaf weeds.
It combines a 22-0-5 fertilizer with Trimec herbicide, which contains three active ingredients: 2,4-D, MCPP-p, and Dicamba. This combination ensures your lawn receives essential nutrients while effectively controlling over 200 broadleaf weeds, including dandelions, clover, and plantain.
Award 22-0-5 Weed & Feed w/ Trimec Broadleaf Weed Control is an effective slow-release granular fertilizer and post-emergent herbicide that provides a steady nutrient supply, promoting consistent growth and reducing the risk of nutrient leaching and weeding in turf.
Tools Needed
A drop spreader, rotary spreader, push spreader, or broadcast spreader should be used.
How to Use

- Step 1: Mow the turfgrass 1 to 2 days before application. Water the turfgrass thoroughly at least 1 to 2 days before application. Determine how much Award 22-0-5 Weed & Feed w/ Trimec Broadleaf Weed Control to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage. For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Apply 4.0 pounds of Award 22-0-5 Weed & Feed w/ Trimec Broadleaf Weed Control per 1,000 sq. ft. of turfgrass. Or the broader application, which is 174 pounds of product per acre. The maximum broadcast application rate is 4.0 pounds of product per 1,000 sq. ft. per application.
- Step 2: Calibrate the spreader to the proper setting then load the proper amount of granules.
- Step 3: First spread the borders of your lawn. Then spread the center by spreading in straight line passes. Spread at a uniform walking speed to ensure even coverage. To avoid gaps and streaks, first spread the border and fill in the center with uniform, parallel passes. Do not irrigate or water the turfgrass within 24 hours after application.
- Step 4: The maximum number of broadcast applications is limited to 2 per year with a minimum of 30 days between applications. If required, the treatment interval between the first and second applications is 30 days.
