How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Avenue South Broadleaf Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Do this by measuring the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage.) Mix rates will vary depending on the type of turgrass and the target weed. To control sensitive or susceptible weeds on common St. Augustinegrass varieties on sod farms, ornamental lawns, and turfgrass use 1.3 to 1.5 fl. oz. of Avenue South Broadleaf Herbicide in 1-4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. To get rid of hard-to-control weeds on common St. Augustinegrass varieties on sod farms, ornamental lawns, and turfgrass use 1.5 to 1.8 fl. oz. of product in 1-4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For cool-seasoned turf like Kentucky bluegrass and annual bluegrass apply 1.5 to 2.2 fl. oz. of product in 0.1-4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to label for specific mix rates.
- Step 2: Once you have the correct mix rate calculated, add half of the required amount of water to the tank in your selected sprayer. Then add the needed amount of Avenue South Broadleaf Herbicide. Once complete, add the remaining half of water, seal tank, and agitate well before use. Continually agitate while spraying.
- Step 3: Apply the Avenue South Broadleaf Herbicide evenly and thoroughly across the treatment area. Ensuring complete coverage without reaching the point of runoff. Do not mow for two days after and two days prior to application. Do not irrigate or water the turfgrass within 3 hours after application.
Where to Use
Avenue South Broadleaf Herbicide can be used on listed warm-seasoned and cool-seasoned turf on sod farms, ornamental lawns, residential/domestic sites, institutional sites, non-cropland sites, and agricultural sites.
