Audit 4:1 Herbicide
Audit 4:1 Herbicide
Audit 4:1 Herbicide is an excellent post-emergent herbicide that works as either a preplant or post-harvest burndown against broadleaf weeds.
Audit 4:1 Herbicide, manufactured by United Phosphorous, is a efficient post-emergent herbicide, taking wheat (including durum), barley, and triticale protection and improved crop emergence to new heights.
This systemic water dispersible granule product offers agricultural crop growers flexible crop rotations and tank-mixing to better control key broadleaf weeds like Pennsylvania smartweed, pigweed, and bedstraw.
Audit 4:1 Herbicide works well with post-harvest burndown, pre-plant burndown and fallow usage resulting in improved crop yields and crop rotations.
Tools Needed
To apply Audit 4:1 Herbicide, you will need to use a spray rig or helicopter.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Audit 4:1 Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For a general pre-plant burndown, post-harvest, or fallow application, use 0.6 to 1.0 oz. of Audit 4:1 Herbicide per 100 gallons of water per acre.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Audit 4:1 Herbicide, then pour in the remaining half of water. Close the spray tank lid and shake until solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Adjust the spray equipment to deliver coarse spray droplets then make a broadcast application over the treatment area at height that is level (no more than 3 feet above the ground/crop) for ground equipment or 10 feet above for aerial application equipment.
Where to Use
Use Audit 4:1 Herbicide on wheat, barley, triticale, and fallow.
Do not use on lawns, walks, driveways; tennis courts, or similar areas. Prevent drift of spray to desirable plants.
When to Use
Apply Audit 4:1 Herbicide when weeds have emerged and crops are in the 2-leaf stage, but before the flag leaf is visible.
Do not harvest within 45 days of the last application.
Safety Information
Audit 4:1 Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not graze treated fields or feed treated forage or hay. Harvested straw may be used for bedding and/or feed.
Keep people and pets out of treated areas until 24 hours have passed after application.
Special Considerations
Risk of injury is greatest when the cereal crop is in the 2 to 5 leaf stage. Severe winter stress, drought, disease, or insect damage following application also may result in crop injury. Dry, dusty field conditions may result in reduced control in wheel track areas.
