Tools Needed
To apply Assail 70WP Insecticide, you will need to use a chemigation system.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Assail 70WP Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For general applications on listed fruiting vegetables, use 1.7 oz. of Assail 70WP Insecticide per 15 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill tank with half the amount of water. Begin agitation and add product. The jug should be given a good hard shake to fluff the Assail 70WP Insecticide before measuring. When pouring into the measuring cone, do not tamp down. The cone is calibrated for the fluffed product. Continue to fill tank while directing a stream of water onto any floating product. Allow mixing in tank for 2 minutes after filling or until thoroughly mixed before applying.
- Step 3: Thoroughly spray the top and bottom of listed foliage with Assail 70WP Insecticide, but not to the point of runoff. Make repeated applications as instructed on the label for the specific foliage you are treating.

Keith's Pro Tips | “When applications are made with a crosswind, the swath will be displaced downwind. Therefore, on the up and downwind edges of the field, the applicator should compensate for this displacement by adjusting the path of the aircraft upwind. Swath adjustment distance should increase, with increasing drift potential (higher wind, smaller drops, etc.).” |
Product Drawbacks | Assail 70WP Insecticide is toxic to bees, birds, and aquatic invertebrates. |
