Armada 50 WDG Fungicide, manufactured by Bayer, is a easy to use water dispensable granule fungicide that provides reliable protection from a broad-spectrum of diseases that effect turf, ornamentals, shade trees, and non-bearing fruit trees.

With its quick-dissolving granules, this product guarantees easy measurement and efficient loading of applicators throughout the year to perform a complete systemic disease protection from pink snow mold, downy mildew, and more.

Armada 50 WDG Fungicide flexible application timing for disease prevention ensures control over major turf diseases all year long. This product also promotes plant health during times of abiotic stress like drought on multiple turf types.

Tools Needed

Armada 50 WDG Fungicide can be applied with a hose-end sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig.

Applications with hose-end sprayers are permitted only for outdoor use on ornamentals

How to Use

Hose-End Spray Application

  • Step 1: Determine how much Armada 50 WDG Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). To maintain the health of sod production of warm season grasses such as St. Augustine, centipede and Bermudagrass, apply 1.2 to 1.5 oz. of Armada 50 WDG Fungicide in 1 to 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For other turfgrass sites, use 0.6 to 1.5 oz. of product in 1 to 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. depending on the disease. For foliar disease control on ornamentals, use 3 to 9 oz. of product in 100 gallons of water. For turfgrass and ornamentals, do not exceed a maximum of 207 oz. of product per acre per year (4.76 oz/1000 sq. ft.).
  • Step 2: When mixing in backpack or handheld pump sprayers, you will need to add half the amount of water, measured amount of Armada 50 WDG Herbicide, and the remaining half of water. Close the spray tank lid and shake until the solution completely mixes. For hose-end sprayers, you will only add the measured amount of product in the container. Spray until the proper amount of water is added to mix the product in the hose-end sprayer.
  • Step 3: When Armada 50 WDG Fungicide has been properly mixed, spray foliage until it is completely coated and dripping. For control of both foliar and soil-borne diseases, allow sprayed area to completely dry before irrigation.

Where to Use

Armada 50 WDG Herbicide can be used on turfgrass in institutional lawns, commercial lawns, residential lawns, sod farms, sports fields, parks, municipal grounds, and cemeteries. This product may also be used on ornamentals and non-bearing fruit trees grown in interiorscapes (to include shopping malls, shopping centers, hotel lobbies) and residential and commercial landscapes.

When to Use

Apply Armada 50 WDG Fungicide after mowing on turfgrass and when disease is present. It may also be applied when conditions are favorable to disease development such as before summer or in the fall before snow cover or early spring after snow melts. Do not apply on top of snow.

Safety Information

Armada 50 WDG Fungicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
