Arena 0.25 Granular Insecticide

Arena 0.25 Granular Insecticide, manufactured by Nufarm, is an effective broad-spectrum granular insecticide that gives outstanding control and long-lasting residual control for turf and ornamental pests within a single application. 

It contains clothianidin, a powerful neonicotinoid insecticide in the same family as imidacloprid and thiamethoxam but with superior residual and systemic properties. Once applied to the soil, clothianidin is absorbed by plant roots and moves systemically throughout the plant tissue, providing internal protection against pests that feed on foliage or roots.

Arena 0.25 Granular Insecticide broad-spectrum activity and a low application rate, making it an efficient and economical choice for both curative and preventive control. It’s perfect for residential lawns, commercial landscapes, athletic fields, golf course perimeters, and other turf areas where fast, reliable control is needed without spraying.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Arena 0.25 Granular Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For turf applications, apply 120 to 160 pounds of Arena 0.25 Granular Insecticide per acre. For shrubs, use 0.5 to 1.0 lb of product per foot of height. For trees, apply 0.5 to 1.0 lb of product per inch of trunk diameter of breast height (DBH). For broadcast applications in herbaceous flower beds and ground covers, use 3.6 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: Adjust the spreader to the proper calibration, then load the proper amount of granules. 
• Step 3: Spread the granules uniformly over the treatment area. Do not mow turfgrass until after irrigation or rainfall has occurred to allow for the uptake and distribution of Arena 0.25 in soil and turfgrass.

Where to Use

Arena 0.25 Granular Insecticide can be used in turfgrass, sod farms, landscape ornamentals, interior plantscapes, and non-bearing fruits and nuts (in landscapes). 

When to Use

It should be applied when pest activity has begun.

Do not wait until large insect populations have been established. 

Safety Information

Arena 0.25 Granular Insecticide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this product. 

Keep people and pets out of the treated area for 24 hours after application. 

Special Considerations

Do not harvest fruit and nuts from treated trees within one year of application.
