Arborjet Propizol Fungicide
Arborjet Propizol Fungicide
Arborjet Propizol Fungicide, manufactured by Arbjorjet, is a broad-spectrum systemic fungicide that can prevent and eliminate diseases like scabs on ornamentals, and other landscape and nursery plantings.
Containing the active ingredient propiconazole 14.3%, this wide range emulsifiable concentrate fungicide provides curative activity and residual disease control that can last up to 28 days.
Arborjet Propizol Fungicide promotes a healthier lawns, trees, and other plants through multiple application methods, including micro and macro injection as well as foliar spray.
Tools Needed
To use Arborjet Propizol Fungicide, you will need a trunk injection equipment, handheld pump sprayer, spray rig, or other injection devices.
How to Use
- Step 1: Measure the tree diameter 4.5 feet off the ground at breast height (DBH) for dosage of Arborjet Propizol Fungicide to use. Example, if a tree has a 24” DBH tree. The low rate of application is 10 milliliters per inch DBH. Multiply 10 mls x 24” DBH to determine the amount of formulation (10 mls x 24” DBH = 240 mls) to use per inch DBH. You will then inject a total volume of 480 mls (240 mls formulation + 240 mls water) of solution. Determine how much product to use for turfgrass applications by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Trees with 6 DBH inches, use 60 ml of Arborjet Propizol Fungicide with 60 ml of water per trees. Trees with 40 DBH inches, apply 800 ml of product per 800 ml of water per tree. Depending on the turfgrass and disease, use 0.5 to 4 fl. oz. of product per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Do not apply more than 16 fl. oz./1,000 sq. ft. per calendar year. For general disease control in landscapes, apply 6 to 8 fl. oz. of product per 100 gallons of water.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Arborjet Propizol Fungicide, then pour remaining half of water. Close the spray tank lid and shake until solution is well-mixed. For pressurized injections, mix the product in a separate container then fill the injection equipment. Next, with the outlet valve open, connect the tank to the inlet valve and begin pumping solution until all air bubbles come out of the outlet valve. Direct the solution into a container and return the solution to the tank. Shut off the outlet valve. Pressurize tank to 20-30 psi.
- Step 3: Spray the mixed Arborjet Propizol Fungicide solution to the top and bottom of foliage leaves until wet. For control of foliar diseases, allow sprayed area to completely dry before irrigation. To perform a trunk injection, inject at the base of the tree. Apply the entire mixed dose in the trunk flare within the first 3 feet of trunk height favoring a height lowest to the ground. Always inject into healthy portions of the trunk or trunk flare.
Where to Use
Use Arborjet Propizol Fungicide on trees, shrubs, flowers, and grasses.
Bermudagrass can be sensitive to this product.
When to Use
Apply Arborjet Propizol Fungicide on established trees, grasses, flowers, and shrubs when disease activity is first noticed. Preventive applications should be considered 12-36 months after the initial injection. Trees in high disease risk areas or high value trees should be evaluated for possible retreatment 12 months after each treatment.
For turfgrass, it would be best to apply this product once in the fall after the grass becomes dormant or in the early spring before grass starts to grow.
In Florida, do not apply this product to bermudagrass golf course greens when temperatures exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
