Aquashade Aquatic Herbicide

Free Shipping on All Orders

Aquashade Liquid concentrated dyes filter sunlight and create sparkling blue water. Controls submersed weeds and algae in ponds, decorative water features, and other impounded bodies of water. Filters sunlight inhibiting photosynthesis. Gives water a crisp, clear, aqua-blue color.

For Use In

For use in: Natural and Manmade contained lakes and ponds (ornamental recreational fi sh rearing or fi sh farming) with little or no outfl ow of water golf course ponds and watering turf.

Application

Permits to use Aquashade are required in most states. Use 1 gallon of AQUASHADE Liquid to treat 4.00 acre-feet. To apply AQUASHADE Liquid, pour directly into the water. Dyes disperse within several hours by natural water movement. The entire pond volume should be treated. Use where there is a minimal inflow and outflow of water. Additional applications will be needed at 1 to 4 week intervals as dyes are broken down by sunlight.

Aquashade Aquatic Herbicide

Aquashade Aquatic Herbicide

Aquashade pond dye and treatment is a blend of blue and yellow dyes that work together specifically to screen or shade portions of the sunlight spectrum (red-orange and blue-violet) that are known to promote underwater weed and algae growth. The UV filtering properties of Aquashade® are beneficial for limiting algae growth. Algae can easily overtake a pond and damage its health. By using pond dyes, you can help limit algae proliferation throughout your pond.

Use in conjunction with herbicides or algaecides for control of surface algae mats or shallow-water plants. Not for use in drinking water, no restrictions for animal/livestock drinking, irrigation, swimming, or fish consumption when used at label rates.

There is a monumental pool that I am trying to cure the algae overgrowth in. This pool is strictly used as a decorative piece to the campus. (no aquatic life or occasional dips) My question is will this product do the trick for the job? Do I have to worry about the dye affecting the concrete walls? Do I need the pump going when pouring solution in?

BEST ANSWER: It will stain porous surfaces, but will control the algae growth. Measure out required amount of Aquashade into a pourable container or apply directly from the product
container by pouring around shoreline water and/or in offshore areas from a boat. Aquashade will mix
throughout the water on its own, however, more widespread application or aeration devices/fountains will provide quicker dispersion.

Better options for your situation would be Cutrine Granules. https://www.solutionsstores.com/cutrine-plus-granular-algaecide

I'm Impressed1
We have used this product for years. It does all it claims to do and you can't ask more than that of a product. Solutions is a joy to deal with. The company also does what it says it will do. I highly recommend both the product and Solutions.

I Love Aquashade
First-time user of Aquashade. Love the color that it brings out of the water and the fact that it reflects the sun. Feels so good to have a clean pond again.
