AquaNeat Aquatic Herbicide, formulated by Nufarm, is a pioneering solution crafted to restore balance to aquatic environments. With its unparalleled efficacy, safety, and environmental responsibility, AquaNeat Aquatic Herbicide is an excellent tool in managing aquatic vegetation.

Its carefully designed formulation contains Glyphosate, which has a non-selective mode of action effectively targets a wide spectrum of submerged and floating aquatic weeds, from notorious invasives to local nuisances.

AquaNeatAquaNeat controls almost 200 species of emerged weeds, including a wide range of broadleaf weeds, sedges and annual and perennial grasses, in and around flowing or stagnant fresh and estuaries or brackish water.

Tools Needed

To apply AquaNeat Aquatic Herbicide a hose-end sprayer, backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer or professional skid sprayer is needed. For general applications made with a handheld pump sprayer, it is suggested to perform the AquaNeat Aquatic Herbicide and water mixture in a larger container, and then pour the mixture in the handheld pump sprayer tank.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much AquaNeat Aquatic Herbicide you will need by calculating the square footage of the area to be treated. For aquatic applications, you will need to calculate the surface area acreage by measuring the length x width in feet to get square feet and dividing it by 44. For land applications, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For general application at a .75% rate, apply 1 ounce of AquaNeat Aquatic Herbicide per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft.
  • Step 2: In a large container, add half of the required amount of water and then add the appropriate amount of AquaNeat Aquatic Herbicide to the larger container. Fill the container the rest of the way with the remaining half of water. It is recommended to also use a nonionic surfactant. Mix well and then pour into the sprayer tank. Maintain good agitation at all times until the contents of the tank are sprayed.
  • Step 3: Spray targeted weeds and brush until wet. You should see visible results within 2 to 4 days. If treating bodies of water that are approved by the product label, only spray areas where targeted weeds are growing.

Where to Use

AquaNeat Aquatic Herbicide is for use on emerged aquatic weeds and brush in aquatic sites. For use in forestry (including weed control in Christmas tree plantations), pastures, rangelands, rights-of-way, habitat restoration areas, non-crop and other listed application sites.

Questions and Answers
  1. Q:Should this product be paired with a surfactant?
    2/9/24
A:I don't know you are using it for but we used it on Christmas trees without a surfactant because a surfactant would burn the needles

  2. Q:what is the coldest the outside temperature can be to use this?
    10/10/23
A:There is no set temperature, but AquaNeat Aquatic Herbicide cannot be applied during a local, low level temperature inversion. Their presence can be indicated by ground fog; however, if fog is not present, inversions can also be identified by the movement of the smoke from a ground source or an aircraft smoke generator. Smoke that layers and moves laterally in a concentrated cloud (under low wind conditions) indicates an inversion, while smoke that moves upward and rapidly dissipates indicates good vertical air mixing.

  3. Q:Is this safe to use around livestock?
    10/1/23
A:If application rates total 4.5 pints per acre or less, no waiting period between treatment and feeding of livestock grazing is required. If the rate is greater than 4.5 pints per acre, remove domestic livestock before application and wait 8 weeks after application before grazing or harvesting.
