Aloft LC SC Insecticide
Aloft LC SC Insecticide delivers fast, one-application contact and systemic control of surface and destructive insect pests in lawns and landscape ornamentals around residential, commercial, and recreational areas.
04/23/26
Aloft LC SC Insecticide, manufactured by Valent, is a fast-acting, broad-spectrum insecticide that ensures systemic protection against troublesome turf and ornamental pests around residential, public, commercial, and industrial sites.
This systemic and contact insecticide controls various insect pests, both above and below the soil surface, using two complementary active ingredients with different modes of action. This dual-action approach allows Aloft LC SC Insecticide to kill insects quickly on contact while moving systemically through plants and turf, providing both preventive and curative control and delivering long-lasting residual protection. In simple terms, it is built to solve today’s insect problems and prevent tomorrow’s with one well-timed application.
Aloft LC SC Insecticide stands out in a crowded insecticide market because it doesn’t force you to choose between speed and longevity, or between surface control and soil pests. It does all of it and does it well. When turf and ornamental health matters and insects threaten your hard work, Aloft stands ready to protect it one application at a time.
Tools Needed
A backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, hose-end sprayer, or spray rig will be required.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Aloft LC SC Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment areas. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For general pest control in turf and lawns, apply 0.27 to 0.54 fl. oz. of Aloft LC SC Insecticide per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. To control fire ants in turf and lawns, use 0.46 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Depending on the pest, mix 3.6 to 15.5 fl. oz. of product per 100 gallons of water. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: When using handheld sprayers, add the product to a partially filled tank, then add water and agitate thoroughly to ensure an even mixture before application. For hose-end sprayers, mix by adding the product to the sprayer reservoir, filling the container with water, and gently agitating to ensure a uniform mixture before attaching it to the hose.
- Step 3: Adjust the sprayer to a fine, coarse spray pattern then spray evenly over the treatment area. Do not spray to the point of runoff. For foliar applications on ornamentals, apply enough spray solution to wet the surface of the leaves to the point of drip.
Where to Use
Aloft LC SC Insecticide is for use in lawns, landscape ornamental trees (including non-bearing fruit trees), and around residential, institutional, public, commercial, and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas, and athletic fields.
Do not apply on the following: Commercial nurseries, commercial greenhouses, grass grown for seed, golf courses and sod farms.
When to Use
For early season control of listed insect pests (such as annual bluegrass weevil) and for full season control of white grubs, make the first application at peak adult activity or when other insect pests reach a damaging population in the spring.
Safety Information
Aloft LC SC Insecticide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
