Aloft LC G Granular Insecticide
Aloft LC G Granular Insecticide is a professional granular insecticide with long-lasting contact and systemic action against surface and subsurface turf and ornamental pests with one easy application.
11/04/25
Aloft LC G Granular Insecticide, manufactured by Nufarm, is an effective broad-spectrum preventative and curative granular insecticide that delivers fast knockdown and season-long residual control of many common turf and ornamental-damaging insects.
The combo of the active ingredients bifenthrin and clothianidin is incredibly effective. Bifenthrin kills fast and on contact whereas clothianidin, on the other hand, moves through the plant and the soil profile, targeting pests such as grubs or leafminers from within. Most granulars only offer one mode of action. Aloft LC G offers two, which helps to reduce the chance of resistance and ensures broader pest control.
Aloft LC G Granular Insecticide provides fast-acting and long-lasting control of turf and ornamental insect pests, including billbugs, with two modes of action for both preventive and curative protection. It offers flexible application from spring through fall, delivering effective results within seven days and lasting residual control in a user-friendly format.
Tools Needed
You will need a drop spreader, rotary spreader, push spreader, broadcast spreader, or handheld spreader.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Aloft LC G Granular Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For turf and perimeter applications, apply 1.8 to 3.6 pounds of Aloft LC G Granular Insecticide per 1,000 sq. ft. To control insects beneath the soil in landscape ornamentals, use 1.8 to 3.6 pounds of product per 1,000 sq. ft. To control pests above ground in landscape ornamentals, apply 3 to 3.6 pounds of product per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Adjust the spreader to the proper settings then load the correct amount of granules.
- Step 3: Spread the granules evenly across the surface. Following application, water in with enough irrigation or rainfall to move the active ingredient into the zone where the target insects are active. For listed surface insects, do not water in this product for at least 24 hours after the application.
Where to Use
Aloft LC G Granular Insecticide can be used in lawns and landscape ornamentals around residential, institutional, public, commercial, and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas, and athletic fields.
Do not apply on the following: commercial nurseries, commercial greenhouses, grass grown for seed, golf courses and sod farms.
When to Use
It can be applied at anytime, but the best results are seen during the late fall and early spring. Avoid applications if rainfall is expected within the next 24 hours after application.
Do not mow until after irrigation or rainfall has occurred so that uniformity of application will not be affected.
Safety Information
Aloft LC G Granular Insecticide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep children and pets out of treated areas until the dust from the application has settled.
Special Considerations
Do not apply this product, by any application method, to linden, basswood, or other Tilia species.
If insect pests are already present and causing damage, consider making a foliar application and then follow up with a granule application.
