Aliette WDG Fungicide, manufactured by Bayer, is a water dispersible granule that delivers outstanding systemic control against diseases in established and new crops.

With multiple modes of action, this product eliminates diseases at various growth stages by moving throughout the plant from the roots to the dense canopies. Once applied, Aliette WDG Fungicide continues to move systemically within the plant to protect new and existing tissue for up to 30 days.

Unlike other phosphite products on the market, Alietta WDG Fungicide uses aluminum to stabilize its active ingredient, while other phosphite products use various salts. As a result, this allows professional or beginning growers to avoid unnecessary salt buildup, which can result in foliar burn or root injury.

Tools Needed

Aliette WDG Fungicide can only be applied to sprinkler irrigation systems including mini-sprinkler, drip, solid set and center pivot. It may applied with ground application equipment and aerial application equipment.

Do not apply this product through any other type of irrigation system.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Alietta WDG Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). The gallonage of water needed will vary by crop and growth stage. For vegetables and small fruit, do not apply Aliette WDG Fungicide by ground in less than 20 gallons of water per acre. Aerial applications for all labeled crops should not be made in less than 10 gallons of water per acre. To treat avocado (non-bearing), use 5.0 lbs. of Aliette WDG Fungicide per 100 gallons of water as a foliar application. To treat avocado (non-bearing) as a drench application, use 5.0 oz. of product in 10 gallons of water. As a trunk spray or paint on avocado (non-bearing), apply 2.5-5.0 lbs. of product in 5 gallons of water. For foliar applications on greenhouse, planthouse, and outdoor transplant bed use tobacco, use 0.5 lb. of product in 50 gallons of water. For foliar applications on field use tobacco, use 2.5 to 4.0 lbs. of product in 20 gallons of water per acre on newly transplanted tobacco. Increase the total spray volume by 20 gallons per acre for each week of growth in the field until reaching a maximum of 100 gallons per acre. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
  • Step 2: In a separate tank mix container, fill it with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Aliette WDG Fungicide, and pour the remaining half of water into the spray tank until full. Maintain continuous agitation in mix tank during mixing and application to assure a uniform suspension.
  • Step 3: Allow sufficient time for mixed Aliette WDG Fungicide to flush through all lines and all nozzles before turning off irrigation water. Apply to wound area as a spray or paint on limbs or trunk of citrus or stone fruit trees in sufficient volume to cover the entire area to be treated. When applying use spray nozzles that will deliver fine or larger spray droplets until infected area is wet, but not to the point of runoff.

Where to Use

Aliette WDG Fungicide can be used on avocado (non-bearing and bearing), citrus (non-bearing and bearing), macadamia nuts, pome fruit (non-bearing and bearing), stone fruit and almond (non-bearing), blueberries, caneberry subgroup, cranberries, grapes (east of the rocky mountains only), strawberry, vegetables (asparagus, brassica crop grouping, cucurbit crop grouping, leafy vegetable crop grouping, onion (dry bulb), and tomato), and miscellaneous crops (bananas, ginseng, hops, pineapple, and tobacco).

When to Use

Depending on the crop, Aliette WDG Fungicide can be used on established or new plantings of crops when diseases are first present or before they appear.

Some crops may not be treated when a certain harvest (PHI) is expected.
