Advion WDG Insecticide
Advion WDG Insecticide is a powerful, water-dispersible granule formulated to control a wide range of crawling and flying insect pests in various ways within commercial and residential sites.
09/07/25
Advion WDG Insecticide, manufactured by Syngenta, is an effective sprayable metaactive effect insecticide that controls a broad range of pests without harming non-target organisms for up to 60 days.
Due to its non-repellent formulation, this water-dispersable granule insecticide allows pests to come into contact with treated surfaces and unknowingly transfer the insecticide to others in their colony. This transfer effect is critical for colony elimination, especially in social insects like ants and roaches.
Advion WDG Insecticide is a versatile spray or foam insecticide that dissolves easily in water, helping to reduce potential clogging in spraying equipment. It offers long-lasting residual control, a powerful transfer effect, and low odor, all while being flexible enough for sensitive indoor environments.
Tools Needed
It can be applied with a truck-mounted sprayer, backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, foam-generating equipment, or ULV equipment.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Advion WDG Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For general indoor or outdoor treatments use 0.33 or 0.66 oz. of Advion WDG Insecticide per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For indoor use, apply no more than 1 gallon per 1,000 sq. ft. For exterior use with backpack or other hand sprayers, 1 to 4 gallons per 1,000 sq. ft. is recommended. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the application tank with half the amount of water. Pour the appropriate amount of product into the tank. Agitate while pouring in the remaining half of the water. Spray when the product has dissolved evenly in the water.
- Step 3: Adjust the spray nozzle to a coarse, low-pressure spray. For indoors, spray only cracks and crevices and perform spot treatments. Outdoors, we recommend creating a perimeter spray. Apply perimeter treatments in a uniform band 1-3 feet up and 2-6 feet out from the structure.
- Step 4: Under normal pest situations or with maintenance applications, a treatment interval of 30 days is usually sufficient to maintain control. For heavy infestations to gain control, make two applications at 7-day intervals.

Advion WDG Insecticide is for use in and around single and multi-family residential buildings; schools; institutional, commercial, and industrial facilities (including warehouses, apartments, supermarkets, restaurants, motels, hotels, hospitals, daycare facilities, food-handling/storage/ processing establishments, and zoos); transportation equipment, such as aircraft, trains, ships, boats, and buses; and companion animal housing.
