The Advance Termite Inspection Cartridge, manufactured by BASF, is designed to be used on Advance Termite Baiting Systems to monitor termite activity where they have been installed.

This product contains Puri-Cell cellulose monitoring matrix to attract termites for “pre baiting.” This matrix is attractive enough to lure termites towards the stations so they can be treated.

Advance Termite Inspection Cartridges are easy to change out and use and are vital if you want to see success in using the Advance Termite Bait Station.

Tools Needed

The Advance Termite Inspection Cartridge comes ready to use with no other tools needed.

To create the required openings in the soil to insert this product you will need to use either a 2 3/4 inch diameter hand auger, electric auger, or gas-powered auger with a 2 1/2 inch diameter auger bit.

How to Use

  • Step 1: To open the Advance Termite Bait Station to insert the Advance Termite Inspection Cartridges you will need to remove the Quik-Lock Cap with the Spider station access tool designed specifically for this station. Place the Spider station access tool on top of the station cover and push down until its firmly seated, turn counter-clockwise until the Quik-Locks tabs clear the locking ring. The stations cap will be held by the Spider access tool until it is returned to the station and locked in place.
  • Step 2: Once the Advance Termite Bait Station is opened you will then insert the Advance Termite Monitoring Base (TMB) at the bottom of each station. Next, put the Advance Termite Inspection Cartridges on top of the Advance Termite Monitoring Base (TMB). To remove the Termite Inspection Cartridges use a cotter pin hand tool or needle nose pliers inserted into one of the outer holes. Cover the station with the supplied Quick-Lock cap and install station as directed.
  • Step 3: When termites are found in the Advance Termite Inspection Cartridges, simply exchange them with a new Termite Bait Cartridge (TBC).

Where to Use

Advance Termite Inspection Cartridge can be used wherever the Advance Termite Bait Station has been set up which is usually around residential areas or commercial structures that have been experiencing termite problems.

When to Use

Use the Advance Termite Inspection Cartridge to replace old TICs which is recommended to be done every 12 to 15 months regardless of termite activity..

Safety Information

Advance Termite Inspection Cartridge is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this product.

Special Considerations

Advance Termite Inspection Cartridge comes in a pack of 25. It contains 93 grams of puri-cell bait matrix plus 0.25% of the active ingredient diflubenzuron, which provides enough bait material to last more than 90 days, but it should only be used for monitoring purposes.

If termites are not yet active in the Advance Termite Inspection Cartridges, peer into the center cavity of the Advance Termite Monitoring Base (TMB) for initial evidence of termite activity. Termites will initially find and aggregrate in the lower TMB then readily forage upward and move into the Advance Termite Inspection Cartridges.

Questions and Answers
  1. Q:If TIC cartridges have no active ingredients, why can't I just use two TMD bases for monitoring? Thanks!
    2/24/23
A:Advance Termite Inspection Cartridges contains 93 grams of Puri-Cell bait matrix plus 0.25% of the active ingredient diflubenzuron, which provides enough bait material to last more than 90 days. You can set multiple stations around your home, but if you are referring to the putting 2 of Advance Termite Monitoring Base (TMB) in one station then it cannot be done. Each Advance Termite Bait Monitoring Stations (TBS) can only hold 1 Advance Termite Monitoring Base (TMB) and 1 Advance Termite Inspection Cartridges or Trelona Compressed Termite Bait Cartridges. Termites will feed on the Advance Termite Monitoring Base (TMB) then upward to the cartridges. The wood base will attract any potential termites to the station then the Advance Termite Inspection Cartridges will aid in the pre-baiting process.
