Acramite 50WS Miticide
Acramite 50WS Miticide is an excellent selective miticide that controls all stages and species of mites on crops.
09/16/25
Acramite 50WS Miticide, manufactured by United Phosphorous, is an easy to handle and mix water soluble bag miticide that provides complete mite control on various agricultural crops.
Effective against a variety of mites like two spotted spider mites, banks grass mites, and strawberry spider mites without harming beneficial insects. Additionally, the carbazate formulation of this product allows control over mites that have developed resistance to other insecticides. As a result, fewer applications of Acramite 50WS Miticide are produced as well as a general reduction in the problems caused by resistance.
Acramite 50WS Miticide provides quick knockdown of mites through contact activity and continues to eliminate those that arise after application with its long residual control.
Tools Needed
Acramite 50WS Miticide will need to be applied with a compressed air, hydraulic ground boom or air-blast sprayers such as a spray rig.
It may also be applied with a fixed-wing aircraft, helicopter, or chemigation system.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Acramite 50WS Miticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). To treat avocados, use 0.75 - 1.0 lbs. of Acramite 50WS Miticide per 50 gallons of water per acre for ground applications. Total number of sprays per year for this foliage is 2. For listed legume vegetables subgroup 6A (succulent), use 0.75 - 1.0 lbs. of product in 20 gallons of water per acre for ground applications or 0.75 - 1.0 lbs. of product in 10 gallons of water per acre for air applications. Total number of sprays per year for this listed foliage is 2. For non-bearing crops (berries, citrus, currants, dates, figs, and persimmons, use 0.75 - 1.0 lbs. of product in 50 gallons of water per acre. Total number of sprays per year for this listed foliage is 1. For more specific rates refer to the product label.
- Step 2: If a basket or strainer is present in the tank hatch, remove prior to adding Acramite 50WS Miticide to the tank. Fill tank with water to approximately one-third to one-half of the desired final volume of spray. Place intact/unopened WSP(s) of the product into the tank. Start mechanical and recirculation agitation from the bottom of tank without using any overhead recirculation, if possible. If overhead recirculation cannot be turned off, close the hatch before starting agitation. Do not spray water from a hose or fill pipe to break or dissolve the product packaging. Dissolving the product may take up to 5 minutes or longer, depending on water temperature, water hardness and intensity of agitation.
- Step 3: Whether you are using aerial or ground applications methods you will need to spray Acramite 50WS Miticide to the point of completely covering the top and bottom leaf surface and fruit. Spray the product no higher than 4 feet above the listed ground or crop canopy for ground applications. For aerial applications, spray at height lesser than 10 feet above the vegetative canopy, unless a greater application height is necessary for pilot safety. Nozzles must be oriented so the spray is directed toward the back of the aircraft. Retreat areas as instructed for that specific foliage as instructed on the label.
Where to Use
Acramite 50WS Miticide can be used for bearing crops such as avocados, caneberry subgroup 13-07A, cucurbit vegetables, fruiting vegetables, small fruit vine climbing subgroup 13-07F (except fuzzy kiwifruit), herbs subgroup 19A, hops, legume vegetables subgroup 6A (succulent), succulent peas and beans subgroup 6B, succulent shelled soybeans (K), mint, pome fruit group 11-10, low growing berry subgroup 13-07G, stone fruit, tree nuts, and tropical fruit.
It may also be used for non-bearing crops such as berries, citrus, currants, dates, figs, and persimmons.
When to Use
Apply Acramite 50WS Miticide when listed crops are facing active infestations of mites and as soon as they appear or are witness on these crops. Some crops may only be treated when they will not bear fruit within one year of application, which can be found on the non-bearing crop section of the label.
Do not wait until large populations have established.
This product has a plantback restriction of 30 days. Do not plant another crop within 30 days after last product application due to chances of bifenazate residues showing up in rotational crops.
Safety Information
Acramite 50WS Miticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep people and pets out of treated grapes for 5 days after application. All other treated areas will need people and pets to stay out for at least 24 hours after application.
Special Considerations
Use a miticide with a different mode of action between any 2 applications of Acramite 50WS Miticide to avoid mite resistance.
