Monterey Neem Oil RTS, manufactured by MONTEREY, is a easy to use certified organic fungicide, insecticide, and miticide.

This product contains the active ingredient Neem oil 70.00%, this effective ingredient helps a wide variety of plant types suffering from pest and disease problems like powdery mildew in 24 hours.

Monterey Neem Oil RTS has a broad label and attached hose-end sprayer, making it a great and easy to use option for pest control in home gardens and ornamental plants.

Tools Needed

Because this Neem Oil is ready-to-spray (RTS), you will need a standard garden hose to attach the bottle to and apply the product. It is recommended to have personal protective equipment (PPE) such as chemical resistant gloves, safety goggles, mask, long-sleeve shirt, long-sleeve pants, closed-toe shoes with socks, coveralls, and apron or Tyvek suit.

Due to the effectiveness of this product, adjuvants such as spreaders, stickers, extenders, etc. should not be used.

How to Use

Hose End Sprayer

  • Step 1: Before you start, the blue top water flow valve should be in the “OFF” position, and the red product flow valve should be in the up, “OFF” position. Inspect the foliage to be treated to make sure it listed on the label prior to treatment. For general applications, mix 2 tablespoons (1 fl. oz.) of Monterey Neem Oil RTS per gallon of water. However, as this product is already ready to use this rate will not apply unless you are refilling the product container.
  • Step 2: Shake container well and attach it to your garden hose. Turn on the water from the faucet. To apply, remove side pin (labeled PULL OUT) and rotate red product flow valve to “ON”; then while holding sprayer at waist level and pointing in a direction away from face and body, push blue water flow valve forward to activate water. Frequently mix solution as you spray to avoid separation of product.
  • Step 3: When you are finished spraying or if you have to stop spraying at any time, press blue water flow valve with thumb to the rear to shut off water and return side red valve to the upright “OFF” position and replace side pin. Turn off the water at the faucet.
  • Step 4: Remove the container from the garden hose; then rinse thoroughly and store according to storage instructions

Where to Use

Use Neem Oil RTS indoors or outdoors on potted or ornamental plants. It can also be broadcast sprayed over your fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, roses, flowers, trees and shrubs.

This product should not be used on sensitive plant species such as impatiens flowers, fuchsia flowers, hibiscus flowers, some rose flowers, ornamental olive trees, or some carnation varieties without prior testing.

When to Use

When using as in insecticide, apply Neem Oil at the first signs of pest activity. Spray over affected plants every 7-14 days. For heavy pest activity, spray every 7 days. When applying for fungus or plant disease, apply every 7 to 14 days over affected areas until disease presence has been eliminated.

Apply in the first half of each season on calm days when rain is not in immediate forecast, to ensure the product does run off into undesired areas or contaminate water like storm drains.

Safety Information

Monterey Neem Oil RTS is safe to use around children or pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment when handling or spraying this product.

Special Considerations

Neem Oil is an oil based product, so it is important to note the temperature and time of day when applying to prevent leaf burn. Do not apply to wilted or stressed plants, or newly planted plants. Certain plant species are sensitive to Neem Oil, so be cautious when applying around them. Refer to the label for a list of plants that may be sensitive to this product.
