Diaphragm Pump Skid Sprayer- Low Profile 50gal
Diaphragm Pump Skid Sprayer- Low Profile 50gal
Created in-house by Solutions Pest & Lawn, the Diaphragm Pump Low Profile Skid Sprayer is a professional pesticide spraying rig that comes assembled with a Hypro DP-252 pump, 6.5HP 212cc OHV horizontal engine, manual Hannay reel, 300 feet of 3/8 inch hose, and a 50-gallon low profile tank. All components are bolted to an aluminum frame that will never rust and is welded at every seam.
The Hypro diaphragm pump provides up to 290 psi and is great for row crop or treetop spraying applications. The 6.5HP 212cc OHV horizontal engine engine has lower noise levels, lower vibration, and lower emissions without sacrificing power. The manual Hannay reel is built with a heavy-gauge, powder-coated steel frame and will hold up to 300 feet of 3/8 inch hose.
The low profile tank feature on the Diaphragm Pump Low Profile Skid Sprayer prevents the rig from blocking the rear view of the vehicle in which it is mounted. Main component parts are covered by their manufacturer with a 1-year parts warranty and a 100% guarantee (excluding plumbing).
Tools Needed
The spray gun is sold separately and will be needed to properly operate the Solutions 50 Gallon Diaphragm Pump Skid Sprayer. (Gun Sold Separately)
How to Use
- Step 1: Start by making sure the inline filter valve is open and the screen is clean and that you have adequate oil in both the pump and engine.
- Step 2: Before starting the engine, you will then need to set the pressure gauge on the diaphragm regulator to agitate. Turn the red pressure release knob so the letter A in the 12 o'clock position.
- Step 3: Go to the engine and move the fuel lever to the ON position. Choke the engine by moving the choke lever to the CLOSED position. Move the engine's throttle lever to about 1/3 of the way toward the MAX setting. Flip the red engine switch to the ON position, and then pull the starter rope. If the choke lever was set to the CLOSED position, gradually move the lever to the OPEN position as the engine warms up. If restarting a warm engine, leave the lever in the OPEN position.
- Step 4: Once the motor is running, it will idle. Let it run for 15 seconds and then put it into normal run. If there is a product in the tank, it should be circulating. At this point, go to the pump's pressure regulator to turn on the pressure so you can begin to spray the product. Do this by slowly turning the red pressure knob toward the letter C, keeping an eye on your pressure gauge, until you've reached the desired pressure output.
- Step 5: When you are finished with the application, go to the pump's pressure regulator and put it back to the bypass (where it says A for agitation). This will take the pressure off the hose and spray gun. Then you can simply turn off the engine by moving the engine's throttle lever back to the MIN position, turning the engine switch to the OFF position, and then moving the fuel lever to the OFF position.
Where to Use
The Diaphragm Pump Low Profile Skid Sprayer can be used to spray lawns, turfs, golf courses, orchards, gardens, crops, trees, outside building structures and homes.
When to Use
The Diaphragm Pump Low Profile Skid Sprayer can be used any time when applying insecticide, fertilizer or herbicide to areas outside. Due to the high-pressure output for this rig, this is ideal for spraying target areas that are high up or difficult to reach.
Safety Information
The Diaphragm Pump Low Profile Skid Sprayer is safe to use around humans and pets when used properly and when following the safety instructions in your chosen pesticide's label. Make sure to set the correct pressure at the pump. For every 100 feet of hose, 10 pounds of pressure is lost.
Special Considerations
The Hypro DP-252 pump used for the Diaphragm Pump Skid Sprayer is a direct drive and attaches directly to the engine without the use of couplers.
Please note: The color of the hose may vary from green, lime green, red or yellow, depending on which one we have in stock.

Keith's Pro Tips | "Every time you are about to use your rig, it's important to check the charge pressure on the pulsation dampener within the rig's diaphragm pump. Think of it like a small balloon that requires some air to operate properly. The pressure should be about 20% of the max pressure that you will be using. You can easily check the charge pressure by using a standard air gauge." |
Product Drawbacks | The diaphragm within the pump needs to be replaced every 12 to 18 months depending on use. |

Q:I’ve got 5 acres (300’ by 750’) which is full of poison oak in the area of so Oregon. The house is just about in the center of the property with a circular drive. The intent would be to walk the 300’ hose around the site. The property is somewhat hilly, so my concern would be loss of head pressure at 300’ of hose and points up to 20’ of head. Will this unit perform under those conditions?6/25/22A:The pressure will remain the same whether the hose is completely pulled out or reeled up. Nothing should change. It's spraying through 300' either way.

Q:What would be the best rig for general pest control? Plus termite control and treatment.3/25/22A:ShurFlo rig is the best for just general pest control, but if you are looking to treat termites than this diaphragm rig should be fine. We suggest using Taurus SC Fipronil Termiticide for spray applications since this can treat termites and other insects. https://www.solutionsstores.com/taurus-sc-termiticide
