The Half Facepiece 7500 Series Respirator is manufactured by 3M and is a protective safety mask made with a strong silicone material with adjustable straps to provide comfort and safety. It protects from inhaling a wide range of hazardous fumes, gasses, and dust particles.

The 3M Half Facepiece 7500 Series can be worn on various job sites when mixing and applying products like pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, and fertilizers. It is made to put on and take off while wearing a hard hat and provides protection from chemicals up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit  (PEL).

Tools Needed

Tools are not needed for using the 3M Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator. The cartridges and filters are required and sold separately.

How to Use

• Step 1: Before use, inspect the 3M Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator for any tears or other signs of damage. Next, attach the 3M Half Facepiece Respirator onto the face piece by lining up the grooves on the bayonet connectors, pushing them together, and giving it a one-quarter turn. There are two methods of putting on the respirator to ensure it fits properly on your face. With the standard method, start by holding the face piece up to cover your nose and mouth, then pull the harness over your head. The alternate method comes in handy when you need to wear this respirator with a hard hat. First, fit the harness over your head. Keep one hand on the face piece and grip the strap ends with the other hand, then pull the face piece up onto your face.
• Step 2: Once you have fit the mask onto your head, grab the lower straps, place them behind your neck, and hook them together. Tighten the upper straps, then tighten the lower straps until you have a secure and balanced fit. Be careful not to over-tighten.
• Step 3: Before stepping into a contaminated area, you will need to perform a positive or negative pressure user seal check to ensure your mask is working properly. To perform a positive pressure user seal check, cover the opening in the exhaustion valve on the front of the face piece. Gently exhale. If the facepiece bulges slightly and no air leaks are detected, then the mask is properly sealed.
• Step 4: To perform a negative pressure user seal check, use both hands to cover the filter cartridges. This time, gently inhale. The mask should collapse slightly and move closer to your face if it is properly sealed.

The 3M Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator can be worn anywhere pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, or fertilizers are being mixed or applied. It is recommended especially for use indoors where ventilation is limited. This respirator can also be used in other industries like construction, sanitation, or manufacturing.

When to Use

The 3M Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator can be worn anytime when mixing or applying pesticides, fungicides, fertilizers, and herbicide.

Do not use when the concentration of the chemical or particulate matter is 10 times the exposure limit or when oxygen is less than 19.5%.

Safety Information

Before any application with 3M Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator, always test all personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a snug and comfortable fit. Do not wear this respirator if you have facial hair or if the seal is otherwise obstructed.

The effectiveness of this respirator relies on your ability to attain a proper seal and the cartridges. Replace the filter cartridges after 40 hours of use or after 30 days.

For maximum effectiveness, while wearing the 3M Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator, make sure the straps are comfortable and make sure there are no air leaks around the mask.
