PT 221L Residual Insecticide Aerosol
PT 221L Residual Insecticide Aerosol
PT 221L Residual Insecticide Aerosol, manufactured by BASF, is a aerosol insecticide that boasts an impressive residual control of a wide range of crawling and flying pests like carpenter ants and wood wasps.
The active ingredient features lambda cyhalothrin belonging to group of chemicals called pyrethroids that effects the insects central nervous system leading to paralysis and eventual death.
PT 221L Residual Insecticide Aerosol contains a low concentration of active ingredient at 0.05% to treat sensitive areas such as food processing plants while at the same time leaving a long lasting residual of 21 days to control current and future pest infestations.
Tools Needed
P221L Residual Insecticide Aerosol comes in a ready to use aerosol can with no additional tools necessary.
How to Use
- Step 1: Inspect and identify the pest you want to treat and take note of the active areas where they are found or are hiding. Shake the PT 221L Residual Insecticide Aerosol prior to application.
- Step 2: Apply as a spot treatment around areas where you have noted insect activity and infestations or directly onto the insect itself if visible. Hold the container upright while spraying. Direct nozzle approximately 12" from surface to be treated.
- Step 3: Alternatively, you can treat cracks and crevices with the help of an injector tip which comes with the spray. Place the injector tip into cracks, crevices, holes and other small openings and apply for 1 second. For light infestations, move injector tip along cracks while treating at the rate of 3 linear feet per second. For heavy infestations, move injector tip along at 1 linear foot per second.
- Step 4: Reapply at intervals of 21 days after first application or treat new ant nests as they appear.
