Xzemplar Fungicide, manufactured by BASF, is a easy to use suspension concentrate fungicide that quickly knocks down turf diseases like dollar spot and provides a long residual of up to 28 days.

Unlike other fungicides, this unique product delivers a fast knockdown and long residual against tough-to-control diseases due to its active ingredient fluxapyroxad 26.55%. Once applied, this ingredient will tightly bound to the waxy leaf surface of the grass and move throughout the plant to treat and protect areas not directly sprayed.

Xzemplar Fungicide ensures fast, continuous protection powered by enhanced systemic properties since the product has a unique redistribution.

Tools Needed

Xzemplar Fungicide will need to be applied with either a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or sprag rig.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Xzemplar Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Depending on the disease, use 0.16, 0.21, or 0.21 fl. oz. of Xzemplar Fungicide in 1 to 4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. of turf. Depending on the disease in larger treatment areas, you will either apply 7.0, 9.2, or 11.4 fl. oz. of product in 44 to 174 gallons of water per acre of turf. Refer to the product label for specific application rates. Do not apply more than a total of 47.0 fl. oz. of product per acre per year (1.08 fl. oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft.).
• Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Xzemplar Fungicide, then pour in the remaining half of water. Close the spray tank lid and shake until the solution is well-dissolved and mixed.
• Step 3: Spray the Xzemplar Fungicide solution over the top and bottom of turfgrass blades until wet, but not to the point of runoff. After application, light water the treated area to move the product into the soil to fight soil-active diseases. For disease suppression, make 2 applications, 14 to 28 days apart.

Where to Use

Apply Xzemplar Fungicide to turf in golf courses, residential lawns, institutional lawns, commercial lawns, municipal lawns, parks, recreational areas like sports and athletic fields, cemeteries, and sod farms.

When to Use

Begin applications of Xzemplar Fungicide prior to disease development or in its early stages. This product may be applied in the fall until its goes into dormancy and before snowfall. It may be applied in spring at time of green-up.

Safety Information

Xzemplar Fungicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Do not allow people or pets to enter treated areas until the spray has dried.

Special Considerations

Do not apply more than 2 sequential applications of Xzemplar Fungicide, then alternate to another effective, non-Group 7 fungicide before reapplying Xzemplar Fungicide.
