04/16/26
WEEDestroy AM-40 Amine Salt Selective Weed Killer, manufactured by Nufarm, is a low-volatile, selective post-emergent herbicide concentrate that delivers powerful, economical weed and brush control for lawns, crops, and aquatic settings.
This emulsifiable concentrate herbicide stands out with its low-volatility, water-based amine formulation that significantly reduces vapor drift and odor, making it safer to apply near sensitive plants and more user-friendly for operators. Its broad-spectrum efficacy controls hundreds of tough broadleaf weeds including dandelion, thistle, ragweed, and woody brush while offering excellent compatibility with liquid fertilizers and tank-mix partners for tailored weed management.
WEEDestroy AM-40 Amine Salt Selective Weed Killer is a reliable, post-emergent herbicide that delivers powerful and affordable broadleaf weed and brush control for homeowners, farmers, ranchers, and other property owners. With its proven 2,4-D amine formulation, massive list of controlled weeds, low volatility, turf safety, and broad label use sites, it consistently delivers the kind of results that cheaper herbicides simply cannot match.
Tools Needed
A handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, spray rig, or aircraft can be used.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much WEEDestroy AM-40 Amine Salt Selective Weed Killer to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For spot treatments in non-crop areas, use 0.5 teaspoons of WEEDestroy AM-40 Amine Salt Selective Weed Killer in 0.6 pints of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the product is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of weed leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. If a second application is needed, wait until 30 days have passed from previous application.
Where to Use
WEEDestroy AM-40 Amine Salt Selective Weed Killer is for use in corn, soybeans (preplant), small grains, pastures, rangelands, and other listed crops and in non-crop areas such as lawns, ornamental turf, drainage ditchbanks, fence rows, and right-of-way.
When to Use
Apply when weeds are present on days when rainfall is not expected within 48 hours of application.
