Tools Needed

You will need to make applications with a handheld pump sprayer, hose-end sprayer, backpack sprayer, or hand-trigger sprayer.

A sprayer with a tank made of plastic, aluminum or stainless steel must be used. 

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Weed Pro Glyphosate 41% to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). When using a tank sprayer for general weed control on annual weeds, mix 1 to 1 1/2 fluid ounces (3 tablespoons) of Weed Pro Glyphosate 41% per gallon of water, which will treat approximately 300 square feet (about a 10 x 30 ft. area). For hard-to-control weeds, perennials, brush, or lawn renovation, increase the rate to 2 to 2 1/2 fluid ounces (5 tablespoons) of product per gallon of water, which will treat approximately 300 square feet (about a 10 x 30 ft. area). If you’re using a hand-trigger sprayer, mix 1 teaspoon of product per 24 fluid ounces of water for general weed control, or 2 teaspoons of product per 24 fluid ounces of water for tougher weeds. Hand-trigger sprayers are best for spot treatments or treating individual weeds rather than large areas.
• Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed. For best results, use within two weeks after mixing with water.
• Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of the weed leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. For brush control, if the plants are taller than 5 feet, cut back and spray regrowth. Be aware that turf or other desirable plants or groundcovers may be damaged if undried spray is tracked from adjacent treated areas. If re-application is necessary, wait until new growth appears.

Where to Use

Weed Pro Glyphosate 41% can be used around driveways, walkways, fences, trees, flower beds, trees, shrubs and other areas of yards. This product may also be used on large areas to kill existing turfgrasses prior to sodding or reseeding, and for weed control in garden plots prior to planting.

When to Use

It may be applied anytime weeds are actively growing. Treated weeds may begin to wilt within a few hours, but complete kill may require 1 to 2 weeks. Mature weeds in advanced growth stages may require up to 4 weeks for complete kill. For best results, apply when weeds are small and before seedheads have formed.

Spray when the air is calm and make sure that spray does not contact leaves, green stems or exposed roots of plants you do not want to kill.

For best results during lawn renovations, apply in spring or fall when daytime temperatures are at least 60 degrees Fahrenheit and the weeds or turfgrass to be removed are actively growing.
