Victor Electronic Mouse Trap
Victor Electronic Mouse Trap
The Victor Electronic Mouse Trap is manufactured by Victor Woodstream and is an innovative mouse trap designed to quickly kill indoor mouse invasions safely and humanely. The trap runs off of 4 AA batteries (not included) and features an enclosed setup so mice go into the trap and will be shocked out of sight. A green indicator light on the trap will indicate that a mouse has been killed.
The Victor Electronic Mouse Trap utilizes smart circuit technology to be able to sense when a mouse enters the tunnel and can kill up to 100 mice per set of fully charged batteries. Mice will go through a tunnel with beveled columns that direct them further and further into the tunnel and right to the trigger plate which will shock them. If you are looking for a way to deal with indoor mice and would like not to deal with poisons or chemicals, the Victor Electronic Mouse Trap is an excellent choice.
Tools Needed
To use the Victor Electronic Mouse Trap, we recommend using gloves when handling traps to prevent body oils from transferring onto traps. Body oils will prevent rodents from going near traps. Aside from this, you will need a palatable bait to place in the bait cup in the trap to entice rodents to approach the trap (peanut butter, for example).
How to Use
- Step 1: Turn the switch into the "OFF" position and insert 4 AA batteries into the battery compartment.
- Step 2: Open the chamber door and place down a high-protein bait, such as peanut butter, onto the traps built-in bait cup.
- Step 3: Then, place the trap in an area where you have noticed mouse activity and power the trap on using the power switch.
- Step 4: When a catch is made, the trap's built-in LED light will blink green signaling that a rodent has been killed. You can then power off the trap and remove the kill chamber and open the lid. Dispose of the dead rodent in the trash without touching it and clean the chamber. You can then re-set the trap as you wish.
Where to Use
The Victor Electronic Mouse Trap is for indoor use only. Place the trap near baseboards, corners, along walls, or in spaces where rodents are likely to travel. For best results place the trap flush against a wall. These traps work best when baited with sticky bait such as peanut butter.
When To Use
Use Victor Electronic Mouse Traps when you are dealing with a rodent infestation in or around your home and do not wish to use rodenticides or chemicals. This trap is most useful when there is not a heavy infestation but rather just one or two intruding mice.
Safety Information
Victor Electronic Mouse Snap Traps are safe to use around pets and children as they come with a convenient safety switch that powers off the trap. It is also designed to lessen the chances of accidental contact but non-intended targets.
Special Considerations
Use gloves when adding bait and when placing the trap in an area to prevent any scent transfer the mouse could detect.
When cleaning the trap, power off the trap completely to safely disassemble the trap by separating the kill chamber from the electronic housing. Clean out the kill chamber with a combination of warm water and soap and preferably a soft-bristled brush. Make sure it is thoroughly dry before reassembling.
